I dont know why you say that when u can customize dicks in sc5 and downright strip the cast to nothing but undies or bondage gear in both sc5 and tekken..
Hell I went all the way and made a KKK Patroklos because all the cursed in his story were black and there was not a single black character in the game, which i found both hilarious and racist.... I was so mad cuz zasalamel was my main.
What ur saying makes no sense.. a costume is a costume.. it wont change the core game.. and the videos, well theys not even accessible except under extra and indirectly... Or u forget the anna and nina endings? Its called fan service.. nothing wrong with it and doesnt truly hurt the credibility of the game.
What hurts it is ignorant sites like eventhubs.. who refuse to talk about the thechnical side of the game or post any combo vids. They only post the bikini packs... Hell they didnt even post the change logs...
THAT.. hurts the game..
SRK (thanks to D3V) is doing a far better job at keeping the balance between technicality and fan service and we need more sites like that.
I don't really think skinhead bryan and dickgirl purple chan from SCV - characters made by players using a character creation and editing tool - are necessarily reflective of the developers of the game or their thought process.
Yes, there is Ivy and there are bikinis, but accusing people of hypocrisy or trying to shove this topic aside doesn't help this topic. It doesn't help guys like me promote a game where a character like Lisa has three string bikinis and something out of some weird catalog.
If someone decides to choose random costume on a character and suddenly the string jewlery whatever-you-call-it shows up, people are gonna be weirded out by that and I'm not trying to make things up to help my argument here; this is from my observations. I find the "everyone's a hypocrite because they do it too" argument, whether true or not, is not very healthy and it's rather petty. I'm not saying you're a petty guy or anyone else in the community is (okay, a select few of you which I will not name), but these sort of attempts don't really get anyone anywhere.
My primary job is to interest people so they'd start playing the game start paying front door and/or tourney entry fee, have a fun time and keep coming back. New players are needed and always welcome, but when I turn the game on and I get comments like "all I see is [this]" "why did they do [this]" and I can't answer that because I don't want to be hostile, so I try to be cool with it, but even if people think you're cool, they'll still recognize the game as a separate entity.
Let me make this clear; I'm not the best player out there, but I can put up a good show and hold my ground and teach people as much as I know. I also really like some of the costumes and actually got all the costumes for the female characters I play like Lisa, Tina and Rachel. I like girls. I like TNA.
I don't like it when it's overdone.
I'll leave this topic alone for now, because I think I've spent enough time on it.
