What you said about Law eems different to what I was talking about that's more popularity
I guess I should have added that the reason people play as Law and Kazuma are because it's very difficult to counter them when a person spams their invincibles. That was the #1 complaint I heard from the tourney players on TR.
Atleast we can agree on something, I'd prefer it if there was like 2 - 3 swimsuits for each girl and maybe some male sex appeal for the female fans and Gaymers and leave it at that there's no need to add anything after that anymore is just overkill.
I'd rather see them have custom colors, but I can kinda see why they didn't do that.
I know women are almost 40% of all the gamers out there, but this idea of catering to the gaymer community seems a little far-fetched. I'm not saying they don't exist, but you're talking about a segment that is, at most, 6% of the population in general. It seems like there's too much fanservice being paid for them. It's almost like treating them like white elephants. You aren't special if you were born that way, any more than I'm really special for having a serious case of Asperger's Syndrome.
The fact is that the majority of gamers, especially in fighting games are straight guys. I honestly almost sympathize with the ladies because of crap like this. No one should have to put up with that at all.
Taking the sex appeal for guys out of this game will not affect the minds of these people, trust me, they're playing SF x Tekken, a hybrid of two games that have a combined total of zero sex appeal. (sorry but I like my girls to look, you know like GIRLS, not like Amazons).
My biggest gripe about that though is that there are games that have all the sex appeal of dog doo that they still have the stock characters and of course the shirtless guys. Street Fighter has Zangief who I think is half-wildebeest, Mortal Kombat has Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Jax Briggs and others. I'm sure if you have a game out there, there is one that's pretty much a stock character. Far as I'm concerned, that's overkill almost as much as the mini-marathons that run on TV where Chopped plays 10 hours a day on Tuesday nights.
I know there are others, I'm too indifferent on 90%++ of the games to identify and name them.
