All I know is that the girls had a 2-week vacation at New Zack Island. Beyond that, nothing was explained.

He's not RYU TEH SUPER NINJA. But, he still competently leads an entire ninja clan. He just doesn't want to actually kill his sister like he's supposed to.
I'm sure if they actually include him in NG, we'll have even more of "Oh, yeah, he's a ninja assassin" moments.

"Competently" is a strong word since from what we can tell, he got the entire clan except for ayane and himself killed off from sending them on suicide runs at kasumi, and we already know Ayane is superior to Hayate lol. if he was a competent leader, why is he doing all the missions himself, with ayane in tow, presumably to be his bodyguard?

I tried reading a fanfiction once. Stopped after reading the description for Kasumi's eyes.
