It's hard to strip KOF characters down to no projectiles or any sort of powers. Bear in mind that the majority of DOA's cast are humans with no special abilities.
its about the same percentage, really. like most of the KoF characters i think of off the top of my head have no special powers. llike for every benimaru with lightning powers, there's a whole handful of blue Marys, Clarks, ralphs, shermies, angel, goro, arguably Joe, Kim, Andy, shen, etc, etc, who have no real powers, just straight fighting prowess, strikes, speed, and grapples. If DOAxvf were a thing, use them, and minimize things like Joe and Terrys lone projectile to include them as well.
It's like mixing oil and water, it just doesn't fit.
Not really. the more I tihk think about it, doa pairs better with KoF athn with vf. KoF has that showmanship that goes with DOA, while vf just clashes too much, but I'm sure ill get into that later.
SFxT is pretty much an unholy mixture if you look at it. It's hard to get accustomed with the Tekken characters there (How the hell did Steve do a projectile!?) that I result to exclusively use both SF characters or if it was an SF character + Tekken character, I would mostly use my SF character and neglect my Tekken character.
yeah that was a terrible pairing. putting sluggish tekken with twitchy SF? that's I think KoF with DOA would work better. may still be 2d/3d differences, but DOA is actually fast and fluid, so.i could see it making the jump, and KoFs characters have a lot of big showy movements, unlike say, SF, so I could see say, Vice with.a working moveset in DOA.
