Mila's new winpose and her costume set is really making me respect the character. She could be in my top 10.
Yeah, but in RE you can go through the entire story as other ninja and kill the same stuff. And with the trials and skull things you can kill old bosses from previous games. Take or leave how NG3 was but you still cut an enormous giant in halfish hot dog style at the end of the story. To be fair, he did say "the ninja" and not "Ryu," and he is obviously the most powerful of them by a significant margin.
That's kinda for the lulz though. For example, canonically Momiji vs Obaba results in Momiji being owned and requiring Ryu to rescue her (this is not even counting the DS game). But in Chapter Challenge you can beat Obaba with Momiji without Ryu's help. Again, they buff/nerf characters for gameplay balance reasons. According to canon, none of the ninjas really hold a candle to Ryu.Yeah, but in RE you can go through the entire story as other ninja and kill the same stuff. i don't see how story decides who sucks and who doesn't.That's kinda for the lulz though. It's also my belief that the challenges faced in NG3 are canonically much weaker than in NG1/2 and that Ryu only had some difficulty due to being cursed. Archfiends vs an overgrown Godzilla-kid? Come on... but that's a different issue.
I don't recall making that argument anywhere.i don't see how story decides who sucks and who doesn't.
Did I say you? No I didn't. I was talking about the guy you were quoting.I don't recall making that argument anywhere.
He didn't make that argument either.Did I say you? No I didn't. I was talking about the guy you were quoting.
Let us not forget who had to kill or help kill every damn boss in Dimensions (hint: it's Ryu).Actually, I believe DOA canon as presented within the games itself indicates that Kasumi is one of the strongest in the entire cast. She's the one that DOATEC decided to clone for the superweapon (Alpha). You'd think that for a company looking to create the ultimate biological weapon/soldier, they'd have gone after Ryu (or at least dropped hints at wanting to get Ryu), especially as the events of the NG games occur before DOA. But instead of him, it's Kasumi that they went after.
Also, Kasumi is Itagaki's pet character. So it's easy to see him as putting her as this when he was making the DOA games. The NG games may muddle this a bit, but at the same time, she only was ever playable in an non-Itagaki NG game (NG3 Razor's Edge), which also happens before the DOA timeline. If she seems weaker then, it could be likely that she's way stronger by the time of DOA.
The regular enemies in ninja gaiden seem to be weaker than half.the doa cast, but a single one can wreck hayabusa, if he slips up.Every DoA character would have to gang up against Hayabusa to make a worthy warmup for him.
Not my fault Ryu was made insanely OP. Actually not Hayashi's, either. He exhibited insane strength that surpassed any DOA character in NG1 and 2.In other words, Hayashi has a hard on for Ryu.
You mean like when he killed Tengu in DOA2?Notice how it's only in Hayashi's game's that Ryu gets acknowledgement (e.g. Alpha transforming into Ryu in 5).
I think the only ones who can match up to Ninjas, would be Bayman, Christie, and possibly Leon. Though Bayman got creamed by an alpha strike in DOA5, so not so sure about him anymore.
Helena managed to defeat Kasumi Alpha in DOAD who technically still has a human body at that time before they transformed her into a holographic, gelatinous dessert.
Goop in the blender.

So logic says Leon could wreck Ryu.
They knew that any attempts would be futile. That's why they went for a safer bet. lolActually, I believe DOA canon as presented within the games itself indicates that Kasumi is one of the strongest in the entire cast. But instead of him, it's Kasumi that they went after. They don't even make an effort to trick Ryu and incapacitate him through technology.
If he slips up (he doesn't).
Doku was back in his early days. He seems much more powerful now after the Dark Dragon incident (now a Master Ninja in the clan, etc.)He messes up more than you would think. in NG1 he was killed by Doku,NG2 had him get cut on his arm,NG3 he got impaled by the Regent, and Yaiba sucker punched him in the face durring a dead lock. he's not perfect.
