I wish she has a sweet lolita dress as another default costume, preferably in mint green, peach, lavender or light yellow with a matching bonnet or a sun hat with loose hair. I hope she carries a parasol in her win poses or in her intros.

Other costumes that I think she might "steal" is Pai's maid outfit and Hitomi's DOA4 lolita dresses. As for swimsuits, it's probably safe to say she will be getting conservative ones, most likely from Hitomi's DOAX2 swimsuit set, probably modified or she would have original swimsuits if TN becomes creative again. (not a X2 swimsuit)

Guessing she will be a counter heavy character similar to lei in game play. That stomp attack she is doing on Helena looks almost identical to one of Lili's attacks, so she probably has a lot of gymnastic style strikes.

Well that was to me atleast, biggest disappointment there could be lol, nice to see default lorelei though...

But unfortunately makes complete sense. Given what it has to compete against at arcades like the Hatsune Miku series, most of the DOA ladies are considered "old" (lol) compared to other video game girls. Younger, "cutesy" girls are always more appealing to the Japanese audience and so them adding her will draw in more players.

Like I said though, I think she'll be an interesting addition but it just blows that a character they said they would even consider adding (watched the interview online) somewhere during 5U's development and even had a title saying "I don't give a damn about Tengu" is just rubbing salt in the wound. :(

But if this wasn't a knock off of Lili I don't know what is. lol. Interestingly Lili was added in Tekken's 5th installment as well but in the Dark Resurrection version and not the original game (similar to how Marirose is being added).

One of my main gripes with her is that she seems too "anime" for DOA. DOA always has had simple designs, while she looks like a character straight out of Melty Blood or Blazblue. Her fighting style seems very assassin-like actually. She could possibly take over Christie's role as the demented assassin bitch of the series.
Overall, she seems okay, I guess. All I need is some gameplay and I'll be certain if I like her or not.

Me thinks most people are overreacting. There could definitely have been better choices (Male character...) but there could have most certainly have been worse choices too (Typical big breasted DOA girl, etc etc).

I think most of you should reserve your opinions until you see her in action. For all you saying she's the worst thing possible you might just find yourselves playing her when/if she hits consoles.

I myself will wait for some gameplay before I write her off. As it stands I'm less than impressed but a bit relieved and I'm keeping an open mind. Also 3rd time saying it. NORMAL LORELEI STAGE, MOST PICKED STAGE CONFNIRMED.

You're gonna have to deal with it for now... We're not gonna get anything else.

Isn't she only being added to the arcade edition? So i dobt even have to deal with her.

The more I think about her, the more pissed off I get. Not because i wanted something else specificially, but just because of how utterly bland and cliche she is. Shes vanilla 5 stages in character form.

Maybe her actual personality will make up for it. Something contradictory, like a full on beverly hills valley girl. Like, omigawd.

There's needs to be something dynamic about her. Otherwise she has no place in doa.

Fuck no. Hell will freeze over before I'd let some underage dwarf loli anime reject take over Christies role in the series.
Christ, I thought we got over the anime style in DoA5.

Like I said before when someone mentioned a loli was a possibility, she could very well stay arcade exclusive due to her age and the "features" of DOA5U. Remember that's why DOAD was banned in Sweden and came under a lot of fire hence the reason why they made everyone 18+ thereafter.

This is TN's response to all the jiggly boob shit talk from people. "Here you go, sexy and barely (if at all) legal. Have fun feeling like a fucking pedo."
Watch her get really slutty clothes too.

Are people really bitching about "anime" design/logic when this series already has plenty of anime inspired logic/design as is?

For one Ayane having exotic purple colored hair isn't what I would call something within the "normal" realm. Never-mind the characters jumping down several stories unscathed like they are from some shonen battle manga.

Seriously this is the equivalent of Tekken fans bitching about the Vampire girl character being added because of how "out of place" she was when the game has a bear/panda, kangaroo, and a piece of wood as a fighter and thats without getting into the angel/devils/other nonsense present.

Tengu shouldn't be with the rest of the DoA cast either using that logic. I don't really see other mystical creatures present in the roster.

I think she is a nice addition to the cast and I'd really love to play her. :) For me it's a much better deal, than getting Tengu, another Virtua Fighter character or the umpteenth big boobed bombshell. Unfortunately, I have the strong feeling, that she will stay exclusive to the arcades and never make it to consoles. Now, that it turns out, she's a loli, even more so. She was obviously designed for a Japanese audience and to draw attention to the arcade version. In the West she might even cause problems...

If that xbox 360/ps3 is referring to her appearing in the Japanese console versions (and isn't just an ad saying 'you can also play doa on the consoles!' or something) we're definitely getting her. They wouldn't have it so that if you played in a Japanese lobby they'd be able to select a character you couldn't.

Safe to say she is bundled with the regular Lorelei stage unless we are honestly assuming non-Japan consoles is only getting the stage, but not the new character.

About the possible age issue, TN can easily spout some BS saying "No no...she is just a flat chested short person who is 23 years old with a breast size complex"

I don't know... I can see my country (Germany) being pretty unhappy about a young girl being smacked around by grown up men (like Bass) in a pretty realistic style and about the option of being able to ogle at her panties from all directions.

@Number 13, yeah maybe pretending she was actually at least 16 is an option. But I don't know, if they'll get through with that...

I really like Mary Rose's gothic lolita dress and I just realized we should get another with her C2 and maybe even more. She seems as if her playstyle could be interesting with systema. I'll definitely be maining her alongside Helena. I know this might be unpopular but I'm glad we got Mary instead of Tengu. I wouldn't have ever mained him but now with this little girl I have another main.

P.S. I love how sexy her pigtails are but in the screen Helena's monstrosity is still in existence. Oh well. Mary will have to make up for both of them.

EDIT: To the problem with upskirts, TN could give her the same undergarment that Amy has in SCIV.

There's no blood in doa. I don't expect Germany to throw a hissy fit over this. They didn't ban nor censor Blazblue right?

On another note, I hope she gets a hime cut hairstyle like Lili. I've never really liked pigtails and a hime cut is quite common in gothic lolitas as far as I've seen.

Blazblue runs in a bright, colorful anime artstyle, DoA5 looks pretty realistic. Germany usually has no problems with sexualisation, but it has with violence. Even more with violence against kids, I guess.
And if there would be problems with just one country, they can't implement her in others! How would they manage playing against her online?

While I don't think the level of violence is enough to get banned since there is no blood or gore, since this would likely be dlc, you can just get a vpn to avoid the "this item is not available in your region" message that appears for banned dlc in Germany.
