Leon was simply cut and they happened to also add Mila. She didn't "replace" him.

Mila is not in any way a spiritual successor to Leon.

She inherited his mount tackle and a few other attacks, so I call it close enough that I can play her almost the exact same as I played him.

Most of the bikini's seem like stuff we've seen already. Hitomi & Momiji just look like recycles... I don't even know anymore. Every bikini is starting to look the same to me.

I'll probably buy Kasumi, Helena, Rachel and Kokoro's. We'll see how much they're priced for before I jump the gun though.

those bikini's though! I'm sorry but Pai's, La Mariposa's, and Momiji's really fit character wise. I hate Momiji, but that outfit might urge me to pick her up. It looks SO good on her.

She got a mount tackle. Not Leon's. I really wouldn't say that they play similarly either.

well I can play her in the same way and attack patterns (almost same attacks), to the point that she functions as Leon Lite for me. (It's a few other moves besides the tackle, like the backick, leaping overhead dunkpunch, standing overhead hook (Leon's is two hands though, but they function the same), etc. All the heavy attacks I used as the cornerstone of my leon are present with Mila)

Mila can be played like a boxer, but if played like a brawler, she's leon lite (at least with my playstye)

Lisa/La Mariposa looks STUNNING in that official bikini shot.
Fortunately the lower leg issue isnt as noticable with her, because of the way she moves around. While shoes would have been much better for her, they aren't compulsory, like on say Tina or Christie. Im looking forward to seeing her Mariposa win poses as well (Ive only ever used Lisa).
Tina looks fantastic too. I didnt expect that.

Like half of these suck smh. If you are going to release a bikini pack at least make everyone get something good. Otherwise give me some throwbacks.

EDIT: I lied. Don't care about anyone else but I'm like :/ at Hitomi's, Kokoro's, and Momiji's. Pleased with Kasumi's.

I agree. Hitomi and Momiji deserved more interesting swimsuits than what they got. Those outfits are completely bland and unremarkable, to me.

Any changes when you choose your characters? Options for hair, removeables and stuff like in the ARCADE Version??

I would like to know this too. If Mila's hoodie is removable, I will buy the outfit for sure.

Yeah, and no offense, but that's because you play Leon wrong. Your weird philosophy on not using his most punishing throws and guaranteed cycles because you consider it "spammy" leave you playing a gimped Leon that no one else plays.

If you played Leon to even an inch of his potential (or Mila for that matter), you would realize you do not play them in the same way. Mila has a 12 frame mid for crying out loud. You can't play Leon like you've got a 12 frame mid. That alone should be changing your game dramatically.

So does this mean I can watch some dudes in the private paradise mode? If not then I'm feeling oppressed for not having my curiosity fulfilled.

I felt oppressed too for not having that granted but then again, I don't need to see some less than 1 minute pre-made movie clip of someone frolicking into the sand which will end up being a paid DLC.

too bad it won't look like that

I don't mind. As long as the mask is there and that the studs are in place (for they are the "crown jewels" of the outfit), I'd tap that burly ass.

Meh @ private paradise. I wasn't really expecting much though, so whatever. Its nice to see some of the outfits can be customised like taking of Helena's pareo or Mila's hoodie... I wonder if Leifang's shirt comes off too

As much as I love this games T&A factor, Im pretty sure even I wouldnt pay to watch those cut scenes in theater mode.
What I WOULD pay for, would be if TN were to cut up small portions of those cut scene animations and turn them into new win poses. At least that would be content that I would get to see regularly, without having to go out of my way to view it.
$2 per new win pose, would be something I would be willing to pay.

I'd like if Leifang gets an option to tie the ends of her shirt just to avoid wardrobe malfunction (or old businessmen on trains accidentally grabbing her breasts). Similar to Tina's schoolgirl DLC.

Please stop with the elitist attitude. There is no "playing leon/mila wrong". If i'm beating them (especially by such huge margins with such massive damage with such little effort), i'm doing fine. My leon/mila is only "gimped" if not doing guaranteed cycles puts me at some kind of a clear disadvantage, which it doesn't.

I can do the same ground'n'pound game with both, in nearly the same patterns with nearly the same attacks (though I really wish leon could do it from SS as well). You can't honestly say "You can't play them the same" when I literally can, and constantly do. Mila having a 12 frame mid doesn't change that.

Brute, I'm sorry, but I hate when people try to say that a character is played "wrong" or "gimped" when neither is applicable. (Im simply not playing in a style that is total overkill, because it is unnecessary lol.) You not liking how I play, or someone else being better than me, is one thing, but please don't try to start that nonsensical horseshit with me. Leon is a power character, I play him as such. Mila is a versatile character able to be played in multiple styles, I find myself enjoying playing her as a lighter, faster, Leon, (aka, a brawler), which she is surprisingly efficient at.

These are two characters that I can enjoy using efficiently without having to juggle or use guaranteed loops and whatnot, and that's a big part of why I love them so much, as that's a factor when I pick a character in any fighting game, and why I favor power characters. The fact that they can be played in a strikingly similar style is icing on the cake, making it really easy to transition between them.

I'm sorry, I really really really hate that whole "you are using them wrong" just because I'm not doing overkill guaranteed cycles. It'd be wrong if I was say, trying to play Leon as a striker/juggler like Hitomi or something, when he's a power character through and through. And there's virtually no way to play Mila wrong, because she's designed as practical and versatile. You like to juggle/strike which she can do, I like to beat them down, which she can do equally as effective.

reminds me of crap like in SF4, I'd get told I was "playing guile wrong" because I didn't sit back and hide behind sonic booms. Such horseshit. When guile's air grab can beat out Thawks condor dive, and his mid punch can beat out Honda's torpedo headbutt thing, damn right i'm gonna charge em head on instead of playing keepaway.

Or saying I played Alex "wrong" because I actually learned to time my grapples and supers instead of just jabbing into them all the time.

The basis of my fighting style is I like my damage raw. No setups, no guaranteed juggles, just learn the timing of my attacks and deal it directly. It's riskier, but I believe teaches better fighting skills, and is certainly more rewarding for me to just wreck an opponent, knowing I didn't have to use any "free" or "guaranteed" damage. That's why I play how I do. and i've made it work for me. I've found few others who can match me in my playstyle, and I mean that across multiple fighting games, not just DOA.

gaaah. I know you likely didn't mean to, but ya really struck a nerve with that comment, and that's a big chunk of why I have such little respect for the FGC, because that unwarranted attitude of "play like I do or don't play" is what most of my experience with FGC has been, and why I have no desire to join the actual tournament scene. As for as I'm concerned, if it works, and I enjoy it, that is end of discussion.
