So it's the new Alpha? lol if this means Sakura Tange making a return I don't mind I always prefered Tange as Kasumi anyhow I have my DOA1U and 2U set to tange ^^

If only they'd bring back Miyako Endo's DOA1 system voice too ¬_¬

Oh, and I'm not happy about the new character not being Tengu... personally I don't play him but I want him in for Penguin and all the other Tengu fans and to re live the classic Hayabusa vs Tengu fight.

Of course is not Ayame also for me, appear evident that it's a character related with Donovan's Mist.

By the way it's interesting to see the similarities between the two, but it's also right that anything related with Kasumi should end necessarily to have some similarities with her mother.

This new character is not Kasumi Alpha (died with the death of Alpha 152), rather the girl seen at the end of the DoA5 story.

By the way, we know that this is a creation of Donovan but I'm not so sure about it having the same appearence of Kasumi... otherwise why to keep her face shrouded in the mistery?

In the past fans have already speculated that she could end to be a mix of kasumi and Ayane in her facial design, and a JP twitter also posted a curious comparison with the same Ayame:

Personally I always been curious to know more about her considering that last shot that show a tear on her face (for being forced to kill or for other reasons?). While Alpha 152 can't be too much interesting (she is a sort of automaton programmed to kill, something that give to her a cool feeling but for me everything end with it), this character owning an human side could end to be pretty interesting just like Kasumi Alpha getting an original baby personality (anyway different from the sadistic-crazy one implied in her only cutscene in the original DOA2).

About her moveset, some people said that she could end to get a mixture of the 4 ninja moveset like showned in the boss of DoA5 (that again wasn't the same kind of clone). I wouldn't like too much this occurrence (in this case I would prefer rather to get back Raidou) however there are the chances for something similar.

When the cloaked woman first attacked Bayman and his troops, she was dashing with cherry blossoms and Kasumi has always been known for that. The Kasumi that appeared to Helena's office was said to be a clone and it's possible that it was the first P4A152 (Phase 4 Alpha-152) prototype and might have been sent to her to do espionage at DOATEC before Donovan planned mass production as explained by Helena to Hayate, Hayabusa and Ayane. The clone was also killed by the 3 ninjas afterwards.

Then later on, the Alpha-152 that the true Kasumi and the 3 other ninjas faced probably had underwent Phase 4 so it's safe to say Donovan's plans for mass production has already manifested since it was able to mimic all 4 ninja's movesets and was able to change forms (The lab stage having a lot of containers could also hint out the mass production of P4A152). Since that clone was also defeated, it's safe to assume that Rig has gathered the data for his father.

How does Kasumi Alpha fits the story if she was already transformed into Alpha-152 long before DOA5 started? Why expect a clone to have many costumes? Alpha-152 had 4. If that ever was Kasumi Alpha, at most she would have 3 costumes in which 2 of them is a recolor of her default (as it was in Dimensions).

Again, it's redundant. Kasumi Alpha is better off as Kasumi's costume than to become a character.

It seam you misunderstood my point, maybe i wasn't clear enough, sorry.
When i'm speaking of an Alfa Kasumi, i refer to a "new one", the last clone created by Mist that wear this black hoodie.
I do agree that having the old Kasumi-alfa as we know her would be boring.

If you search in the database, the model used for this girl we see with the hoodie IS Kasumi's one. You can see vidéos of RGH/JTAG xobx running this model as a Kasumi outfit.
What i understood of DOA5's story is that this girl is the "ultimate" clone of Kasumi (Kasumi-Omega ?), a new one we've never seen before.

You convinced me together with Baal bal... I really think that now we will get a Kasumi's clone showning very likely the skills of the DoA5 Boss. At this point the real mistery is in her personality, surely different from the boss fought by the ninja in the end of DOA5 (just a clone with killing intents).

Anyway, like for Marie Rose, for knowing more about the personality of new characters we have necessarily to wait for a sequel...

There's honestly more than enough Kasumi clones (more than Kyo Kusanagi had in KOF) if they were added in the roster to begin with that it could replace the whole roster on its own.

I would have liked a male fighter me too but in the end this character was fated to return in DoA6 (playable or less), so we already know of a new Kasumi on the horizon. Maybe the fact that she was added now could give a chance to implement a completely different boss in DoA6 not related to the clones of the kunoichi (while the cloaked clone could end to be a pre boss, just like Aplha 152 in DoA5).

About the male characters, like I've already posted the presence of Marie Rose and Kasumi's clone could increase the chances for an eventual third DLC character being a male one, overall if in the end should be revealed like only Marie Rose is the real star of the Arcade additions.

I'm really disappointed .. :/
