Ugh, fuck this thread. How come this is the most active thing on the whole damn forum?

I seriously want to know if there's an actual term for this. It'd probably be along the lines of 'social gravity' or something. Suppose that's somewhat fitting, since it seems we're getting awfully close to the event horizon.

I just looked at the DoA Facebook page and the below comment (lol), that was recently added...

"I heard the new character might be that gay ninja from your Yaiba game. Im telling you right now, Your ruining the game with all this shit. Get a bloody grip! I cant stand Momiji and adding this new gay just takes the biscuit, I can handle Tengu over these two. I dont care who doesnt like what I have to say but your just putting stuff in the game that wasnt made for DOA in the first place. If it is the Yaiba rat and he continues to DOA6, Im seriously trashing DOA completely. All my childhood down the drain. So I hope what I heard is actually not even true. And for the fans who might start drama from seeing this because 'you' love Momiji and Yaiba, Dont even dare bring the drama. Instantly blocked the moment you do! Im aloud to say my peace all said and done."


To me, it just sounds like the wild ramblings of a crazed fan, but why do so many people agree with him? (17 likes so far!)
Does Yaiba have a gay ninja (I havent been following the game) and is there any chance of them being put in DoA5?
For the record, Im not opposed to an openly gay character being added. It could be interesting, though admittedly I'd prefer a gay female character.

I actually read this. People be cray. But TN already stated that the new character would be a female and she apparently appears in the credits... no Yaiba there. Unless Yaiba is a girl, guy needs to calm his farm.

I think they're using "gay" as the fratbro "stupid, unwanted, undesirable" meaning. Not an actually homosexual character. Likely talking about Yaiba himself.

That Leo is from Tekken 6 and I think she looks like male especially her hair. Yeah as someone mentioned Eliot's problem is his hair, nose, cheek and eyes and I hate one of his victory pose (Head movement= girlish) he is no different from cocky Ayane. It is obvious he has innocent girl faces in some shots The problem is that he supposed to be male but Leo has no gender lol... Eliot is male? Yes but his face is girlish he isn't even look androgynous because this is a video game limited details, shiny faces, his face is perfect. He is childish I can't say he is teenager at all so arguing his gender is pointless imo. So, I decided to go ahead & open up a can of worms with this one:
Kasumi vs Ayane vs Momiji.

I think it should happen somewhere down the lines. This should be a triple threat rivalry. It may not be now, but in the future, it should. Now I know that some will be like "Oh why should Momiji be a rival to them both? She has no purpose", but the fact is she does have one & can rival them in the storylines as a ninja from the Busa village. TN can throw in a curve for it to happen. Then some of you are like "Kasumi & Ayane shouldn't fight". lol Yes, they should. They don't have to "hate" each other now since the storylines are changing tides (just like Momiji doesn't have to hate them), but they have to fight each other. They're destined to fight each other, if you don't realize that by now, then you need to. You can't have a good action-packed game without a rivalry. Look at Ryu & Ken from SF. They're friends but also rivals. Sonic, Silver, & Shadow, same thing. Heck even Ryu & Hayate are rivals but great friends.

I say let the female ninjas duke it out! And no I'm not talking about looks or anything like that -__-

but out of the girls, I'd have to say canonically it'd be a tough one but my money would be either on Kasumi or Momiji.
Ayane has beat Ksumi before, but Kasumi has dealt with more dangers to the clan than Ayane or Hayate, she has sucessfully avenged hayate in killing Raidou and has defeated herself 4 times now although she did get help for Phase 4 Alpha.

My reasons for Momiji? she's a Master Ninja rank of the Hayabusa Clan you don't to that rank easily plus she's a Hayabusa the Falcons are true and strong and can persevere anything through any means necessary.

Well she's from the Busa village, but she could just be a friend or ally to them both like Busa is but then get into a scuffle with them over something (like fighting the boss character). Or just fight to see who has the upper hand on one another. Sort of how Ayane & Kasumi did in DOA3, which Ayane won but in the rest, it was Ayane hawking her down just because of who she was. We all know how Kasumi vs Ayane started but that's how Momiji would fit into the mix.

People shouldn't really use the term to mean something stupid. It really adds insult to injury.

I think this guy is hitting below the belt much and hasn't been reading news. Does he even know that 3 other characters co-exists in the NG universe too? Odd how he had no complaints about them for being "outsiders" (despite Ryu and Ayane being staple characters in the roster from the beginning) except for Momiji.

Kasumi > Ayane > Momiji

This is just off the current information we have on them though, Momiji... it's kind of hard to place her anywhere to be honest. We don't know much about her character other than what we know from the NG games. I wouldn't put her off being the strongest at some point though, isn't Ryu like her mentor or something? she's bound to become some kind of super ninja eventually.

Kasumi's head is never really in the fight, well at least that's the impression I get from her. Even then she seems to come out on top. Makes you wonder how things would play out if she actually was in it to win it. I mean, she won the tournament in DOA1 didn't she? because she had a reason to win. Revenge.

Also, the pause between Kasumi & Ayane's dialogue in DOA3 makes me wonder if she actually heard what Ayane said and was like "... ok, maybe you have a deeper reason for entering this tournament than myself." thus not giving it her all in their fight, allowing Ayane to follow through with defeating Genra.

As for Ayane, well there's a reason the Hayabusa village constantly get her to do their dirty work... so obviously she's stronger than most of the ninja in the Hayabusa village. Momiji is a healer, and a priestess- not to say she can't hold her own because she obviously can but is she on the same level as Ayane? I don't get the impression she is. At this point anyway.
