On the topic of VAs, I'm generally not fussed for the most part. In the end it all boils down to fight noises for me, and Marie Rose's fight noises sound identical to Kasumi's whose noises are horrendous. It's like the English has 3 noises to the Japanese 8 or 9... so like with Lei you just constantly hear "HAH!" in English... and it's literally the ONLY noise you hear. It's so annoying.
General intros and outros though, Marie's doesn't appear to be terrible. But the only one I like is the "Red Rose" one, cause she actually sounds like a crazy deviant in the opening. But the rest, plain. Her Japanese VA however, keeps the tone of "brat" throughout her entirety. Which is what I'm assuming she's supposed to be with a title like "Wicked lil servant" it suits her more.
Kasumi though, her English is just... they chose the wrong actress for her. I literally prefer her DOA2 voice to her DOA5 voice which is saying something.
Strangely enough, all the males in DOA were voiced extremely well... it's just the girls that fail the English VA to me... and since I use pretty much every girl, I play in Japanese. You don't really need to understand fight noises... so I don't think the native language should play on your opinion ( in my eyes anyway. ) they really only have 2-3 intros and win quotes anyway -_- once you've heard one and read it you know what the English is saying so it really just boils down to what is more pleasing to the ear as opposed to understanding it.
That's just my opinion though~ =3

to be honest, I never even give a chance to english voice actors if the game allows me to set it to Japanese.
the japanese are the best voice actors out there, and while it might not be the case all the time, in general english VAs are just ... I dont know, you cant feel what they're saying. It is very rare to see a Japanese VA failing to express what's going on in their voice.

I still use Japanese voices even if some of the younger girls sounded aggravating in their KO'ed voices.

If you are able to tolerate the voice of the character in one language without finding it agitating to listen to, choose it.

I see we start random messages again so I also have one, but more serious. It's a question: after defeating which characters Kasumi says "You will never defeat me"? Until today I thought she says it only to Ayane... (I think I should ask it here, because it may be story related).
I've seen Kasumi say "You will never defeat me." to Ayane, Rachel, & Bayman so far. I guess it's more common with Ayane and like a once in a life time to any other character.

Really? You don't like Rachel's? That scream she does on the final P of PPP and and scream off 66K is like... the best thing ever! I'd say the best noise in DOA. I love it rofl. It's so beastly. Ahh well. Each to their own =3
I'm gonna have to disagree. The top part of her hair is fine so I don't see how that could mean she's balding rofl. Admitedly the bottom looks a little thin, but eh... can't be perfect. Her hair is one of the better loose ones.
If anything they need to fix Helena's weird clipping issue with her loose hair, make Kasumi's longer and a little thicker at the ends. Lei's is fine.
