Donovan probably got his own copy the mask once they captured Genra. If Donavan honestly can fight then I hope his fighting style is Tiger fist (just like Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil series).

It may be possible that he took Genra's real mask and that Ayane fought Genra with an exact replica of the original mask but she didn't noticed it was a fake.

Not Sure what you are expecting under the mask beyond "Some Guy". unless its revealed he is secretly Raidou Donovan. or Donovan Raidou. Raidou is Donovan. Or Donivan is secretly fame douglas. or helenas mother!

Because they made a spare uniform for their human weapon? and its just collecting dust now so he's just using it.

It's just one of those things where you want to see what the main villain looks like. Donovan has been pulling the strings since DOA1 and even when his plans seem to have been stopped, there's always more than meets the eye. That's why I'm ready for Donovan to reveal himself.

Donovan won't be a boss fighter let alone playable until DoA XIII: Tengu Returns releases. His whole character design is centered around as the mysterious main antagonist that is pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

We will be stuck with Rig/Phase Four/More Clones/Rogue Ninjas/and Fantasy Creatures as the primary face for antagonists so the series gets properly milked each future title with vital bikini sales and erotic gravure videos after each subsequent DoA adds a new babe or two towards the waifu catalogue.

Donovan didn't have a mullet lol. I believe Bass still outgrew his hair pass his shoulders that time.

Bass' hair in 4/5 is more similar to Donovan actually. It's slick but not all the way down to the ends.
