Actually the Arcade course end always with the scene after credits of the DoA5 story (the one depicting Phase-4 to teleport herself away from the "hotzone") ;)

I'm pretty sure it is a joke because of two things:

1) If Team Ninja, or any publisher, is going to announce something big, they would never choose the first or April for that. It's not the best promotion, if people don't take you serious.
2) If this still was a genuine announcement, why would they use an old illustration? They'd have brand new renders of Tengu or ingame footage, if this was real.

But people, I'm the only one that immediately after to have seen the picture thought that "deception" is in the end just what happen during the April fools' day? Tengu would be the perfect representative of DoA for a such day, considering his famous line (recalled recently by the requests of the fans).

I think that this is a teaser for the fans, at the same time putting the doubt that could be a joke for them with this double meaning (that personally I found a stroke of genius, and I would say it also in the case that was just a joke for the fans).

But I'm pretty sure that Tengu is close to us! ;)

Ehm, maybe I had to specify that this is a photoshop of mine: I didn't read the posts on the forum and honestly I though that the fans of DoA were glad for the post of TN and not angry with them...

I've thought of that too. It's why I'm unsure what to think of this ordeal at this point in time.

Another thing: it's just me or this is the first time that we see Tengu's artwork from DoA Dimensions completely clear (without the black triangles) and in the full picture? I think that no artwork from the characters of DoA:D was ever released in a such way.

I think it was like that for one character, but I can't remember who. You're right though. I didn't even notice that this Tengu image was different.

Hmmm, so there's written MARO11, but Marie has only 9 costumes, so 2 are still missing. If Momiji and Rachel are getting cheerleader ones, then maybe Marie, Momiji and Rachel are getting bunnies, and Marie is also getting pop idol costume. Then Jacky, Ein and Leon would probably get the fighter swimsuits. And everyone is getting Tengu!

Then i get my cocktail DCL pack, same for the missing casual vol3 and legacy vol2, sara get nerf, the net code is improved, phase 4 is free for all, DOA's overall image get better and become the number one fighter !
(feel free to add your wish to the list ^^)

Then I get Raidou, Genra, Shiden, Irene, Yaiba, Aerial Gardens, DOATEC HK, The demon's church, my wishlist for legacy outfits, the fulfillment of the Razor's Edge vestiary, Kasumi' Sigma 2 outfit, more outfits for Leon and Ein :p

I was forgetting BananAkira! XD

If that list is real, I wonder if they know how many more outfits other characters have. MR getting 2 more is understandable since she's new, but Ayane (who already has 27) getting 3 more is actually a lot. O_O

Of course TN don't create a new DLC pack every 2 weeks but plan them in advancement, so definitely they already know the next future for the characters about this matter.

You do realize this was a direct parody of Capcom's Decapre reveal right ("cough" Filia "cough")? Although a character really did come out of it I s'pose.

And fun fact, the VA for Filia is also Marie Rose's. ;)
