It's not pigtails! It's a side ponytail! x___x

there's no other side to it, so I don't see how it can be pigtails. Unless it's 2 on one side...

I agree, old low ponytail or a new side one (even if more likely the latter).

Love the stages and glad two of many of my favorites from the fan costume contest made it in.

Also a collaboration with Senran Kagura? If it's a hack and slash game then I would love if TN made their own version of it. If it's a fighting game then I'm gonna loose it!!!!

Trailer makes me think DOA5LR graphically better but I guess this is just my imagination lol.

The pictures of 360/PS3 already confirms an improvement on the lightining and textures of the characters (and personally I love the new effects of breaking/explosions/particles), even if what I care more for is the antialiasing and the floor textures. By the way we will see the big of all this improvement only in the next generation version.

Very likely I will get a 360 version, so this time I can't pretend too much improvement on this matter for me (what I saw so far it's already more than enough), even if I hope anyway that the version on PS4/XOne will be amazing for all the fans, giving so again to DoA the primate of graphically stunning fighter. So my priority is more to pray than all the contents on the next gen (less of course impossible ones as special feats of the consoles like in-game recording) will be shared even from the old one (characters, outfits, stages and in-game feats).

Yes but I am not sure how could they force the current gen game engine? If it is improved then this is really an accomplishment.

Don't know why people think the trailer/pics is for last gen consoles, its definitely from the ps4/xb1 versions since theres no way ps3 and 360 can handle those new advanced particle effects without massive framerate drops. crappily compressed youtube vids aren't going show the game in its full glory, its not a huge leap over last gen but its still a pretty big improvement especially when you factor in vastly improved image quality with native 1080p and AA added, and most likely being 60fps at all times including cutscenes/intros/outros which drop to 30fps on last gen consoles. plus im sure TN wants to promote the game looking its best so expect all media/demos for 5LR to be from the new consoles

Leifang2000 translated from the official site that "PS4/XboxOne graphics will be shown soon" thing that apparently should mean that what we saw so far are not them...

I agree. I'm pretty sure, those high resolution pictures we got to see, are already the Xbone and PS4 pictures. There will obviously be no difference with character models or textures, but quite a bit improvement with resolution, antialiasing and some flashy new particle effects. That's how cross gen ports usually work... They won't rebuild the whole graphics engine. ;)

I just hope the only difference between the xbox360/ps3 versions and the xboxone/ps4 versions are the graphics. And they have the exact same for everything else.

I would be more than glad with the final next gen outcome if it was what already showned us, I just hope that the flashy new particle effects will be present even on the version for Xbox360 and PS3 (even if the rest should remain graphically the same of the 5U one).

I think it would be foolish of Team Ninja to give the PS4/XB1 versions exclusive content.

Just the opposite, it's for this reason that I hope that TN will decide to make differences only in the graphic side.

I would hope that the PS4/XB1 versions are mainly for those who want a next-gen 3D fighter and prettier graphics.

it could simply mean they'll be showing the graphical improvements in detail and explaining all the graphical changes the new gen versions have over the last gen ones. Another thing of note is that the official 5LR trailer has a 1080p option on youtube while every other official 5/5U trailer from TN ran at 720p max

From the official Japanese website:
A playable PS4 version demo will be shown at Tokyo Game Show(just 2 weeks away).
PS4/XboxOne graphics will be shown soon.
Collaboration with Senran Kagura: Estival Versus (another game made by Marvelous), will have more news about this soon.
There will be a demo at The Fall Classic as well.
