I honestly don't understand why so many people have an issue with Rig. I mean sure, he can be tough provided the player using him plays at a high level. But, the same can be said for any character.

Rig gives me less trouble than most characters do, and even the Rig-specific stuff (such as having difficult-to-read mix-ups, being safe, etc.) are exhibited to much higher and more difficult degrees in other characters.

Fun fact.

Mr. Smee named his sword Johnny Corkscrew because he has a habit of twisting the blade when he's stabbed someone with it.

I've never liked DOA's tag mode at all. It doesn't matter which game it is.

I don't like tag play in fighting games in general.

Same. Unless its a wrestling game or something where tagging out isn't instant.

So the footage from the trailer was from the PS3/Xbox360? I honestly thought it was PS4, because it looked so different to the GP of DOA5V/U. There is motion blur.

I have to admit this is all still pretty hard to believe. I figured TN had called it quits after Nyo when little did we know they were secretly creating a new version with more stages, near-identical fan outfits, and maybe even more characters.

I think it's mainly Rig's toolkit and that he's one of the few characters that can continue to kick into other attacks.

Not to mention those cannons are pretty fast and even if he's pretty difficult, he can pretty much force techs and keep the momentum with the best of them.

Sarah does all that nonsense 10 times worse than Rig could dream of. By comparison to Sarah, Rig is slow, telegraphed and risky.
