Yeah I'm really wondering if they kept Athena all moe~ and stuff. Ninon is never cause they wouldn't dare throw Maximum Impact characters in the main timeline.
Really? That blows, I've been doing some research on the game and Ninon was the only true character who caught my eye...Oh well, maybe they'll design another lolita wearing fighter as a new character. If not, I'll go with Athena.

The bigger question(s), though:

Where's Vice/Vanessa/ Blue Mary? Haven't seen em in any vids yet

We haven't seen A LOT of characters yet. These little teasers always show Kyo and Iori and then barely a handful of other characters. Considering the final roster will have 50 characters, this will take some time and I wouldn't worry about too many characters missing in the end.

Disapointing... Taipei playable demo is the same at PSX.

Andy and Kyo (the main character even) look incredibly bland. D:

Because the discussion came up here again: It's not the technical part of the graphics that is so bad, so please stop saying the characters look like PS2 character models. They don't. The character models are actually made of a lot of polygons (more than in Tekken 7) and their textures and shaders are perfectly fine too (just the skin looks a little bit waxy imho). It is most of all the bland and forgettable art style and character design that makes the game look so bad and dated. If they don't drastically change the art, the game will look bad even if it runs perfectly smooth in 4k resolution and with the best lighting, textures, shaders and polygon models ever.

Again though it was never about technical aspects. Like you said its the bland art style.

That winds up making it look similar to old PS2 games. I'm not saying it as texture resolution or low polys, I'm pointing out that bland art style, which totally lacks any detail, winds up reminiscent of old PS2 games where characters looked like bland featureless dolls. The skin has no texture, the hair has no detail, the faces have no emotion, etc etc.

Specifically I'm reminded of games like shadow of destiny with the simplistic models.

It probably won't happen, but it would be interesting to know if the game will have English voices as well as Japanese, but there are 50 fighters, so it might not be possible time wise.
