Vincent Rayne won't be going to anime expo this year. Other than that, I hope to see you guys there. I'll bring my PS3 and 360 copies of DOA5 and try to set up a station if possible. If it does happen, I will be spending almost half of my time there so it won't be difficult to find me. Everyone in the SoCal group has my phone number so it won't be hard to contact me.

Anime Expo tends to leave a tv or two each year to let whoever wants to play on their system do so. Not sure how strict or how they will plan this year, but I will try my best to get a session going.

I will do my best to push off the "WHEN'S MAHVEL?" players out of the way to make room to the DOA players. Man I'm gonna be KI2 with you. I loved that game too much. TJ Combo and Black Orchid will be my go to characters when playing you haha.

Alright, so I've been scouting out West Coast Cards out here in Crenshaw and 154th. The place is pretty roomy, and I've talked with the store manager (fellow yugioh associate of mine), but he told me they are most likely only going to be having gaming tournaments that they host themselves. And not just regular casuals.

They are also still getting their entertainment center set up for gaming, so I'm going to talk with him again about things, and to see if it'll be possible to host a DOA5 tournament there.

Aside from this, it would be a good idea to try scouting out another location for us SoCal players to go for casuals weekly. I'm going to do more research, but I would like for other SoCal folk to scout around as well. If you know a place that we can go to for locals, please speak up. Or if you can offer your place for locals, or know someone that can. Anything will do.

We really need to need to try getting things moving out here again. We have nothing established anymore.

Only 3 confirmed players from the WC going to TFC? Let's get more than that people! We need to represent the WC proudly and show the EC what we are all about. I know that we have a big community here in CA, both in NorCal and SoCal. We have to show everyone that the WC is more dedicated and is willing to travel anywhere compared to other regions. If there is only one tournament that all DOA players need to attend; It is this one for sure! This is our chance to shine. This is our EVO. Stand up WC and let's join the fight together! We are going to take over TFC!

Attention SoCal players:

I have very good news for you all. The awesome folks of 1337LoungeLive over at the Jace Hall Celebrity Arcade would like have a night of offline casuals at the studio next Friday, starting at 9pm pst for their "FGC Live" night. Jennifer (hostess for FGC events) is actually very interested in having casuals there more frequently, as well as possible tournaments in the future.

And she is also interested in getting DOA more face time (this is very good news and a very good opportunity for Cali players AND for DOA, and of course it gives their stream more publicity so it is a win-win situation all around).

Anyone from NorCal can come out as well if they wish (or anyone in general). This is a great chance for us to play DOA live again, give it more exposure out here and we can also give some insight about our community and our players.

Let's not allow this opportunity to slip by, guys, this is a break we've been needing out here for a long time. So, let's definitely try to make it out.

Details:

1337LoungeLive's FGC Live night
August 9th, 2013
Starts at 9pm PST

You can check out their stream and archives here: http://www.1337loungelive.com/

Address:

10911 Riverside Drive, Suite 100
North Hollywood, CA 91602

You can contact Jennifer at this email here for any questions;

okay. so i got some good news and some bad news regarding my offline buddies and to answer air gear's question. the good news is that we can get sessions going on at zach's place again on sundays. the bad news is that the reason why sundays are open is because my job schedule has changed. now i work to fill in my other co-workers schedules. (what i should have had in the first place) so now there aren't two people of my position (GSE) on the same shift. so now i can't have people cover me easily if i want a day or two off. so this means i cannot make it to TFC :(

question are welcomed if any arise.
