I'm probably gonna break down and get it next paycheck or the one after. I still don't like that its 60 bucks, but eh.

Also I need to get a controller for pc. I suck at keyboard and mouse lol

But more to the point, it's actually much better on PS4. I kind of expected the opposite, which is why I took note of it.

well keep in mind, the pc version is the actual Blizzard community. WoW, Diablo, Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft, etc, etc.

I wasn't aware there was an option besides origins edition. what's the difference?

The normal one doesn't have the opening with Winston and doesn't have the skins that are marked as coming with the Origins edition. If I recall, that's Slipstream Tracer, 76's Commander Morrison, and Reaper's Blackwatch Reyes.

It's only on PC, though. Last I heard, only the Origins edition is available on consoles.

I suppose the only thing I could possibly care about is the Tracer costume. Which I'm not sure I care too much about since the game is in first person anyway.

You may wanna hold off for now. The game's getting another free weekend on the 18th (I can only imagine those are doing wonders for sales, with how many there have been), so you'll have another chance to try both for yourself. If you're going to be using a controller either way, though, I'm not sure which I'd recommend.

PC gives you a few benefits that console doesn't (a public test server for upcoming updates, text chat, lower price, for a few examples), so it's kind of a matter of if the community's enough to put you off. I haven't played on PS4 much, but I can imagine you'd get much less hate for using a controller there than on PC. I've also heard that there's no aim assist whatsoever for controllers on PC, but I can't really vouch for how true that is.

I've been fortunate enough to not encounter much toxicity, and since I'm not really social enough to voice chat with strangers on a regular basis, text chat has been a big help for me. I'm not gonna try and deny, though, that it's definitely a con when you do encounter toxic players. Thankfully, the worst I've seen is just people trying to shift blame for their team's loss, especially after refusing to switch heroes and try another strategy.

I get toxic behaviour in all of my matches, and it sucks that i disable the match chat the first thing in a new match =/
