Lisa and Helena has showed to know how to use guns too. Pretty sure they won't add other DOA characters than ninjas because TN doesn't care about them. But if they can put both Kasumi and Ayane in xtreme series then yeah they could also put non-ninjas in this one. Plus this game already have cartoonish anime characters mixed with realistic looking characters so it can't get any weirder.

Honoka and Marie Rose are not ninjas and figure more prominently in media and advertisements since their introduction. This isn't Team NINJA playing favorites.

More to the point, this isn't Team NINJA at all. The characters being pulled from DoA into Musou Stars are the ones that Omega Force (not confirmed as far as I know but who else would be developing) thinks would have the most appeal. Plus I'd be shocked if they pick any character that doesn't already have a moveset in a normal action game to minimize dev time on them. Ryu, Kasumi, Ayane, Momiji, and Rachel already have action game movesets from prior Warriors games and the Ninja Gaiden series. I wouldn't look for any of the close-combat specialists from DoA.

I've played a few of the warriors games so I might check this out, I like how it's lots of characters from lots of their games.

And lol at Honoka and Marie being in the game with volleyballs! XD

More confirmed info from interview
  • Development began around summer last year.
  • We were considering releasing a new Warriors Orochi, but we wanted to evolve the Warriors(Musou) series as a whole and looked at how we could do that in a way that makes users happy.
  • We had over 300 ideas for the title, but we figured we’d pick one that was straightforward. We put in “Stars” because wanted players to feel a sense of enjoyment.
  • It has a lot of characters even for a Warriors game, but if we put too many in it will end up like Orochi, so we’re narrowing it down.
  • As for participating works, we’re aware of the “What Warriors title would you like to see?” survey previously held by Famitsu.
  • Appearances from the Kou Shibusawa brand are planned, but the military commanders from Nobunaga’s Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdomswill not appear. The military commanders are those from the Warriors series.
  • Including original characters, around 30 characters will appear from across more than 10 works.
  • Compared to Orochi, we’re narrowing down the amount of characters to more deeply depict them.
  • Dialogue variations and events between characters are being prepared.
  • The story is a free scenario and has multiple endings. It is designed so that you can proceed in the order you prefer and change the player character at any time.
  • Action parts are the same as the Warriors series, but are different in that you’ll take along multiple allies who will support you with unique actions.
  • Currently, the characters that will appear are near finalized, but we want to have support for things such as downloadable content for characters that fans are vocal about. In the case they’re added, they’ll be properly involved in the story and ending.
  • We’re going to have a survey in Famitsu about which characters users want to see appear.
  • Development is currently 30 percent complete.

No ayane no buyane, ok, that doesn't work.

Never played a musou game before, i want to try some, thought about getting hyrule warriors, but it seems that the wii u version is not worth it... Maybe dinasty warriors 8 on PS4...

But, since this game has Ryu and Kasumi, i'll probably get it.

Omega Force has worked with outside collaboration gaming for obtaining rights such as Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM musou games and the upcoming Berserk game. The thing with KOEI's overall company is that their character list isn't particularly huge for a "Stars" games. DW/SW list doesn't exactly count because it would be no different than a standard Orochi game. What they need to do is go outside company lengths and draw in characters outside of KOEI's list of games, similar to how they brought Sophitia from Namco's SC. I would like to say that Fist of The North Star is a good ass candidate (or Tales of characters, yeah.)

Persona seems great and Final Fantasy is like the seller of hotcakes because the potential is amass and simply fitting due to warriors clashing in general. They should get both of them so the real question is why not.

I'm all up for Game Department's #3, #5, #6, #9, #10.

I voted for Arnas(Arnice), Shallotte and Hayate, was gonna go Nyotengu but I'm more interested how Hayate would work in an action game.

I also voted on Servans and Demon Transformation for Arnice, Steel on Bone and Power Blows for giggles

Also lol at the idiots wanting stuff likeNoctis and various other 3rd party games...

Picked Joe Hayabusa & Nyotengu. Haven't got a 3rd yet.

KOEI's list of games isn't large in their department. They should go to outside sources but that's on them.

Voted for Nyotengu since she's my favorite character. I would be so happy to see her in a game like this. And, I also voted for Hayate. He really deserves a chance. It's about time he got in an action game.
