IT IS DONE !!!

** NOTE: PLEASE HAVE ANNOTATIONS ACTIVATED **

This tutorial was designed to help players get more familiar with DOA5's mechanics and shed some more light on its technical side .. it is divided into 9 massive tutorials which add up to a little over an hour of content. it covers everything from the BASICS, to the TRIANGLE SYSTEM, to STUNS and COMBOS, to FREE CANCELING, to the STAGE INTERACTIVITY.

In addition, TEAM NINJA and MASTER from TKplayers.com have generously supplied 4 PREMIUM DEMO CODES (2 for xbox360 and 2 for PS3) to show their support of this project. I will be giving these codes away to whoever fullfills the following rules:

1) post ONE of the following comments on the MAIN tutorial video on youtube ONLY.
(not the sub videos)
" I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY DOA5 ON MY XBOX360" or
" I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY DOA5 ON MY PS3"

2) do NOT multi post the request ... multi posting will result in disqualification
(you can however post normal comments ..dont worry it wont count in the give away)

3) like and favorite the video so it can reach more players out there! spread the word ! (THIS WILL BE MONITORED)

4) (optional) spice up your entry comment and make it interesting! (video response requests also welcome !)

The 4 winners (2 for xbox360 and 2 for ps3) will be announced through a follow up vid on friday the 25th of May. it will be posted as a video response to the MAIN vid so keep on the lookout!! Whoever fails to respond within 3 days will be replaced with another winner.

-------------

This project was 2 months in the making and it is my biggest project to date and it could not have been done without the help of so many people (including my wife on player 2 side). I hope you find this tutorial both enjoyable and informative.

and keep on the look out for more DOA5 content in the future.

Thank you for watching

This was very informational, well done. There were 2 things I wanted to point out but they were minor and I can't remember which section I watched it in.

Good shit.

Love the video! Love the effort.

I do have an issue on the naming of the topics and wondered what other people thought.

The "Rock Paper Scissors System" should really be called something else I think. Basically, it raises a negative connotation in players who don't understand it's more than a "guessing game" and will give people an excuse to write it off.

I think that menu item should be called THE TRIANGLE SYSTEM as that's how it's always been known, so actually more accurate.

Whereas "Rock-Paper-Scissors" is more a shorthand description - while its a somewhat useful analogy, I strongly suggest we don't "officially" refer to it that way as it will ultimately prove counterproductive, by feeding into the preconceptions about DOA.

I made this one a while back, but still not confident with my voice. Still looking for someone to dub it :(

it would be awesome if you guys could help spread the word to other fighting game sites like srk and eventhubs ... it will help this tutorial series reach more players and shed more light about what doa5 is all about and what it has to offer.. which was the main purpose of this video series to begin with :)

Wow, that was very informative, I'm going to share it on some French boards. I'm just curious, how much time did you need to make all of it ?

I was confused at first on how you managed to spend two months working on a sub-2 minute video but then that just turned out to be the interactive menu. That's just really cool presentation. I only watched the first video so far but I do have some concerns:
1) I wish there was some voice-work dubbed over. Sometimes it got hard to read your instructions and then follow what was happening on-screen.
2) I disagree with some of the placement of your items. As someone who's struggling to get into other fighters, what experienced people consider "basic" isn't what I would.

Those are just minor gripes though and I think the videos are really well done. Kudos.

I think your voice is fine, just the mic quality is bad. I use a cheapo TurtleBeach X11 for podcasting and, for the cost, it's pretty awesome. I'd recommend it.

lol
the interface of the vid and how the vids blend together was something ive never done before ... and it was something ive always considered for a youtube vid ... and i thought a massive project like this deserved a pimp up .. lol

the last massive tutorial i made was for dhalsim from sf4 and it was half an hour .. and i thought watching through that was quite tedious ... this way atleast you can see it in chunks ... if ur tired its easy to pick up from where you left off :)

im really happy with the way it turned out :)

im glad you like it !

On the contrary you don't know Emperor Cow how I'm so happy to see finally a tutorial on the game with instructions completely written. Sadly I'm not able to follow well the spoken language, but I know to be a minority, so if you had done differently I wouldn't have blamed you for it XD

Nice vids, haven't finished yet but what I saw so far was (I thought) easy to understand and informative.

This here was very informative and shows that DOA is much more than a titty feast...hence then slogan..."I am a fighter"...

Great work done here and much respect is given, also, congrats on the video making its way to Eventuhubs where I just know it'll pull more heads in interest of DOA.

Anyone who can dis a video as crafty as this deserves a knuckle sandwich with extra toppings fa real.

Cleaned up original post to link to media library's link.for better formatting on the front page. Annotations still work appropriately.
