Were there any DOAD gatherings/tourneys/events back then? How often do you bring DOAD to local DOA tourneys, events, and gatherings?

Curious to know if people brought DOAD with them to conventions, tournaments, and events and never witnessed any.

If any of them still bring them to those events, then good at least the game isn’t dead yet even if you brought them to EVO’s recent Bring Your Own Console tournament.

When I write about this post, I feel like demand for a DOAD as a separate remaster or part of the collection is now higher than ever!

There was really only one DOA Dimensions tournament and that was at DOA in Dallas back in 2011. It was found that desynchronization happened far too often with the local wifi to bother running a tournament for it any other time. Additionally, DOA5 would be announced 4 months later where all the attention went to.

I remember always having a 3DS with DOAD in my pocket and playing it on the bus to tournies or while waiting for matches in Toronto for DOA5 and always coming back with a few throwdowns through 3DS's streetpass. Can't remember if I ever had any direct in-person DOAD matches with anyone on the side. So even tho DOAD was old news once DOA5 hit, it was always still a presence for me during those same years.
