What system should the DOA IPL League be played on?

Which system would you rather compete on in the DOA IPL league?

Arcade stick vs Control pad. Which one is better for fighting games? And the reason why Im asking because I haven't use a arcade stick since I was young.

I play DoA on a stick, but its loose buffer system makes it a chore sometimes.

It's all preference and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

I paly on pad. DOA is so easy. Using a stick is not needed. Don't reason people are crying about what system DOA 5 should be on is because of the pad issue?

360 pads are horrible, but I guess the new 360 pads fix the dpad?

My opinion is, if I spend the money to get my stick dual modded, if you're travelling to tourneys you should spend the money to be prepared to play on whatever is present.

i think so....? People are picky these days. And yeah I can see what you're saying. Those cost a lot of money to make.

Stick still enhances your game no matter how easy you think it is. Crouch dash is just one of the simple things that is fudgy on any pad. But yeah, personal preference. Work around the limitations as best you can

I can crouch dash just as well on a stick as I can on a pad. DoA has such minimal execution requirements that having a stick vs. pad argument for this particular game is pretty ridiculous.

I'll buy me a arcade stick and see if I like it or not but I read that some of them are a waste of money.

To everyone that thinks that the issue of this thread is about the pad, you're wrong. Read the title of the thread again. The superior system for IPL is necessary for that top tier play. Especially if 70% of the community voted for a particular system.

During HIN I adjusted to using the sticks within an hour or so and I played just fine (prior to that I never used a stick during competative play nonetheless at all during all of my time playing DOA) . During the hella weak Merced tourney I used the PS3 pad to win a FT5 money match. Can't take the DS3 out of hot water just yet. Input and timing are much different that the 360 version. That slight delay can break your combo/momentum. Just sayin'.

Playing IPL DOA on PS3 is like having the chance to run 100-meter olympic dash...but you can't wear socks :/

It's been proven that there is a 1 frame delay on the ps3 version.... Your opinion on the subject means jack shit.
well it's an opinion bro like I'm respecting yours. And it's one frame of lag....that's not bad. I have seen/heard worst. Go look up PL's video on playing laggy monitors. He said he has played on shit that has like 5 to 7 frames of lag..... 1 frame is mangerable.

Not bad to you maybe, but to others its pretty significant. Top that with the potential of also having a laggy monitor and you have a bad experience waiting to happen. Why half ass and go for something "manageable" when there is a better version out there? And if you give me the controller excuse BS then I'm going to slap you upside the head. Anyone traveling for a tournament should be prepared and either have two controllers, a stick, or a converter. I personally bought a converter that works amazingly well. A pad is NOT a reason to pick one system over the other. I don't care if its only 1 frame or 10 frames, the delay exists on the ps3 and the xbox version runs way smoother. There is literally no legit reason to use the ps3 version over the xbox version.
