What system should the DOA IPL League be played on?

Which system would you rather compete on in the DOA IPL league?

Then don't post in here. Take your stupidity elsewhere.
you're too serious for your own good dude. I don't like these discussions popping up in any fighting games because honestly...it goes no where it kind of dies...this was brought up in SC4... this was brought up in Mk9...and so on....Ya want a really old example? This was brought up when SC2 was out...and that even died out and people just played it on PS2, even though there were some stage glitches in that version. And for MK9 and SC4, people just played the PS3 version of the two games I mention. And if that's stupid(very childish btw) to you, then you sir need help. I'm just sayin' that 1 frame or whatever...really don't matter.

It matters.

I just want DOA5 to get that same high level respect just like VF & Tekken, so regardless of what console they choose for the major tournaments.
BTW I'm just glad that its finally on a PS console & both versions kick ass. :)

Edit: I can't explain how much I hate DOA4 & how disappointed I was (played the demo, didn't like it). :(

With the exception of a handful of characters, DOA5 plays almost exactly like DOA4 (from a high level perspective).

You can ignore it all you want but it still matters. One version is better than the other, going for the inferior version is simply pure stupidity and can potentially push people away. They are going to go to a tournament, see that its on the inferior system and get annoyed because that system has a delay to it and coming from someone who has both versions, it is EXTREMELY noticeable. Even before you even start playing you can feel it just navigating through the menus. There is no reason to EVER host a DoA tournament on the ps3 unless the organizer just straight up cant get his hands on a 360. But as far as IPL goes, that's not really an excuse.

I wonder of the PSVita have the same issue?

In the topic of bugs and glitches thread there's following:

The player that presses start at the Press Start screen must be one of the active players in the game mode. For example: if P1 is playing with P2 and P3 offline, and P1 presses start on the Press Start screen, then P2 cannot face P3 in versus mode. There is a workaround on PlayStation 3 that just requires the player to change controller slots via the impose screen. However, for Xbox 360 it requires a sign out of P1's profile, P2 or P3 signing in as P1's profile for save purposes, and then P2 or P3 pressing Start at the Press Start Screen. This basically makes it impractical to run tournaments on the Xbox 360.

The last sentence sounds like a reason to not use Xboxes on tournaments. Is the issue still relevant?

Yes, but it's not as difficult if everyone uses wired controllers or arcade sticks.

Plus, there are players who only have a PS3 and would/did gladly give over their money for DOA5.

All I know is you wouldn't think one frame feels very different but it does. I remember when I played the PS3 version before the game came out it felt very sluggish. At first I thought it was just an engine change, until I got to try the 360 set up. It was very noticeable transition, since the 360 just felt better. I would think most players can feel the difference. 360 seems to be the way to go. Like everything else it all comes down to money though.
