The Ranked Decline needs to be reworked. Seriously. Played all night with anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes downtime between matches just because people queuing for ranks higher than themselves can't handle the fact that others are ranked higher (in most cases) for a reason. It's stupid that people will queue to fight people that are higher ranks than them but decline just because they don't want to face you or because you have been beating them most times you play.
Should be that people within one or two ranks difference of you can't decline. Example: If I am A and someone pops up as A- or A+ they can't decline a match with me.

Haha saw this coming... The problem is most people in ranked are boosters obsessed with achievements or points. Of course they're all going to refuse playing against good players.

As someone who mains Lisa, Alpha, and Pai I've resigned myself to the fact I'll be spending all my time in lobbies come 1.03.

My character got a nerf that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes; 9PKP in juggles doesn't guarantee a pick-up any more and that hurts Bass' pick-up game as it means that he now has no painless way of picking up an opponent after a juggle. Keep in mind that it's wasn't easy getting the air-9PKP in the first place. 66K after super launcher was also changed as it was just a braindead combination, so it's perfectly understandable.

I don't mind the changes, but the fact that it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes gives me the impression that they were trying to sugar coat the changes. I don't mind a gift horse, but they forgot to mention the lack of horse shoes.

Bass has a few "Old Man" moments now where he has to step forward before picking people up after untechable attacks (probably from the distance nerf from "ground throw on heads" change which was, admittedly, really silly how ridiculous it was). Finding myself having to do that a lot with his 6H+K, 1PP (when not setting up for a throw), odd times with his PPP, and 6KP (not as often). Can't think of others at the moment (not the Bass pro you guys are so you could probably find more than me).

And an error with the patch was found.

From Team Ninja Twitter a half hour ago.

"As a result, we have halted the Xbox 360 update originally scheduled for January 29, 2013. #DOA5"
"We plan to release a corrected update for both PS3 and Xbox 360 systems sometime in February. #DOA5"
"The "Hotties Swimwear" and "Zack Island Stage" DLC for the Xbox 360 will also be released at the same time in February. #DOA5"

What the error is they don't say. Xbox players, I am sincerely sorry for you all.

Maybe the change they made for tech with the drop vertical thing just messed up the way force techs worked? I mean from what I ve read helenas changed tinas too and bass also... Maybe more that havent tested or i havent read but maybe it wasnt a deliberrate nerf but a game mechanic that changed how they work

I was barely playing DOA5 anymore, mainly because of the laggy online and the lack of people to play with. This patch was getting me interested to play again, so even if I want it right now I'd like TN to take his time and solve whatever 'error' they found.

I just don't want more bugs and glitches. We have plenty of those since the release of the game...

If anyone thinks the character changes in the patch are BS now is the time to spam their twitter page! Maybe they will add some changes last minute like they did previously.
