Now in the thread that it really was supposed to go, lol:

Horizon Zero Dawn's expansion The Frozen Wilds got a beautiful, new environment trailer:

Imo still the visually most stunning open world game. O: I'm playing the Pro enhanced version of The Witcher 3 right now and while it looks considerably better now it doesn't even come to close to what the PS4 and PS4 Pro are able to render in Horizon Zero Dawn. I hope more studios will license the Decima engine apart from Hideo Kojima for Death Stranding and the Until Dawn developers.

Kinda bored of seeing the same games in here and there's not much new ones to discuss so let me take this opportunity to say how ugly Marvel vs Capcom Infinite looks...

The faces are still terrible... even at release Morrigan looks almost like a monster and hardly human, her nose resembles some sort of animal and her neck would make a giraffe would make a giraffe blush... the bodies seem badly disproportionate and almost like they were rushed to meet the hyped deadline

The only character that looks like they put any detail in is monster Hunter XD

It's no wonder this game didn't sell well, it's like they hired graphic designers who just enrolled in college to do the character models, they look even worse than KOF 14 did before that graphical update that added better shaders and effects to the game so it wouldn't look plastic. I was never interested in the game one way or the other but I pray that they do a graphics update in the future, no popular game should look this awful...

Great shots! :) In which mode are you playing the game on the PS4 Pro? Resolution or performance mode?

Senua's character model is one of the best in all of gaming (a dentist could make a proper teeth hygiene evaluation just by her super detailed teeth and gums, lol)...the environments, while very atmospheric, can't keep up witht that quality though.

Here's some of Uncharted Lost Legacy's environmental splendor:

Thanks :) I think I played on Resolution mode, but not quite sure. My neighbour is a dentist actually so I can ask him about that too. There is a very interesting making of Hellblade that comes with the game. In many instances they use real actors and not character models in the game:

The guy I believe is filmed.

Your images are a bit blurry image quality wise, I don't know if it is due to the image compression or because you chose that effect/filter in the game's photo mode (or both), but that could also mean you are playing it in performance mode, which favors framerate over resolution and graphical enhancements. Performance mode on PS4 Pro looks actually worse than the game looks on the standard PS4, just to get that 60fps. The resolution mode however comes graphically close to PC's ultra settings and runs in 30fps.

Lol, Senua's character model is that good that I assumed the guy was real as well!

:p

The images come a bit blurry because for some reason when I went into photo mode it would completely alter the zoom/perspective settings and you had to readjust it yourself. I probably used some effects too, and alot of the pics I took while there was a cutscene.

It is beautiful though

Gamespot is streaming Assassin's Creed Origins on standard PS4 right now:

The first gameplay other than Xbox One X gameplay that we so far saw. Visually it does look great already on the standard PS4. Especially the LOD (huge draw distances) seems just as impressive as what we saw so far on the X.

The game does look beautiful but I just don't have any interest in the AC series...Also If the previous games in the series are anything to go by I'd be expecting lots of glitches when it releases.

It's funny, I've played all the AC games and never experienced a single glitch. Just lucky I guess. I'm a little sad where going back in time for this one, I quite enjoyed England in the 1800's, but it does look really good. I have it pre ordered so if reviews are mixed just hit me up for opinions on it.

Personally, I'm relieved they've changed the formula and gone back to the origins.

It looks real good too, first AC I've been interested in since Revelations.

Exploration of a variety of areas in AC Origins:

Looks all pretty amazing. The Egyptian setting with some Greek and Roman influences is really interesting to me.
The game world is by the way huge. About 5-6 times larger than the world of Horizon Zero Dawn for example. But to be fair, much of Origins is just desert. ;)

Well, if this isn't a very pretty game by the Infamous developer... O:

It's supposed to be an open world action adventure...something like Red Dead Redemption in feudal Japan.

This could be right up my alley. Hopefully the gameplay will match the design. Souls like, but hopefully not as unforgiving. With a large open world to explore. Gaming heaven.

even surprised an open world with samurai didn't exist before".

When I realized that some days ago (some people were discussing their favorite next open world setting for Assassin's Creed after ancient Egypt and feudal Japan came up a lot) it also surprised me. Open world feudal Japan in all its beauty and mystery is surely something many would be interested in. I definitely am! :)

Hmm the feudal Japan open world game looks really nice, Not sure If it will be something I'm interested in though? It will be cool to see how they make the feudal culture and everything in the game and If there will be ancient landmarks in the game? I wonder If they had bibliopole in feudal Japan? Who knows. The world does look very munificent though with how gorgeous those forests look. I'm guessing there will be lots of things to do so that will be good. I'm guessing you can impignorate in the game too since like in the witcher 3 you'll probably pick up a lot of stuff so you'll probably be able to sell it for money.
