Sorry, I just cant grasp this concept at all outside of just being creepy. DoA is a fighting game first and foremost, it always has been. There's nothing wrong with enjoying eye candy in a game, but what you're on about is a level I don't want to understand.
Thank you. This is exactly what I be trying to get people to understand. Like when people try to compare it to SFV's content, SF's characters are fighting games 1st then they release their fan service content later on down the road. They were never advertised that way. For as long as SFV has been out, there's only been like 2 swimsuits released for their characters, but everything else is just regular stuff. DOA was introduced that way by Itagaki. That's the on him & TN for doing that, not Capcom.

Personally, I dislike the fan service request, but a little doesn't hurt. I just rather it be kept at a minimum, but people when it comes to DOA ask for a shit ton. It can tarnish its image as a fighting game franchise. Like a lot of the times, it makes people wonder if they even know that they're playing a fighting game. Focus on how to get more of a competitive interest & hardcore crowd. At the very least ask for cool costumes to fight in & not the excessive stuff.

I'm glad that they're trying to go away from it & be more serious assuming that they don't actually walk back the statements.

What are you talking about?? I only have one Twitter account, @Maso_Prince.... You must mean someone else because I'm completely unbothered by this SJW stuff and am far from stupid
He didn't suggest otherwise, though your response is pretty suspicious.

Every game has fanservice but the FGC bashes DOA too much. The thing people say, especially in the FGC, is just too too stupid. Its fine if you don't like the fanservice but at least quit talking about thing you know nothing about such as the mechanics and whatnot. I knew nothing about DOA until DOA5 and I had to find some random unknown reviewers to get a fair review of the game back in 2012 instead of the usual "No depth and DOA is not a fighting game hahaha".

Maybe I made the right (or wrong choice depending on stance) in choosing DOA over Tekken back in 2012 as my entry game into the FGC, but from what I have seen since 2012 the FGC is a really stupid and hate filled community.

Now someone I follow(followed) is trying to make a petition.... Do they really think TN is gonna be obligated to change their game plan just because a few fans are taking this whole toning down thing way too hard?

As I said before it's not that serious xD they've been ranting for the whole 1-2 days and I'm about mute them if they continue. You really see the real reason people play games in matters like these...

Maybe if the game wasn't so braindead to play the FGC wouldn't have bashed it. It has objectively less depth than anything else on the market.

No, the FGC did not bash DOA because of the fanservice, because that would be extremely hypocritical of them. Every other active fighting game series has indulged in more ridiculous, impractical fanservice than DOA, yet nobody really gave a shit. Why do you think that is? Why are SG and AH welcomed with open arms and played at events but DOA is continually shat on? It's almost like the common opinion is "it's a series with shit gameplay with only the softporn to keep it afloat", or something! But TN, in their infinite wisdom and pot-induced bliss, decided to embrace the "shit gameplay" portion while repeating the very same thing that caused 5 Vanilla to die a painful death and force the transition to the LR and XVV as we know today.

Tekken 7 did the exact opposite at launch, managed to set a few asses in the noisy minority on fire, and fast forward a couple months everything just kind of blew over and people are now playing the fuck out of it. Really gets the thinkers going, right?

I guess what I personally saw back in 2012 was all a dream.

The "shit gameplay" is the existence of holds. This is what I said "Its fine if you don't like the fanservice but at least quit talking about thing you know nothing about such as the mechanics and whatnot". I do not care if you like it or not. I'm suppose to believe a person who says that in DOA you only need to button mash and spam holds to win? Along with there being no spacing, side stepping, crouching, or punishment in the game? And the people who reviewed the game by showing the hold system and calling it trash then and there are also to be believed? If joining the Tekken community or what ever else makes me just parrot other people's blind statements without ever playing a game then I am fine where I'm at.

It really hurt me than they go in this direction.
Is gonna be hard but I gonna vote with my wallet and not buy the game, at least in release date.
Wonder why this have to be in this way?.

Easy now, easy, as long as this happens:

you ain't got nothing to worry about, just let DOA have its deserved place in the FGC tourneys.

I don't get it why I am not a fan of the series just because I don't like this change.

Which change?
Out of the 2 costumes we've seen so far 2 are “sexualized”.
Kasumi's isn't a variation of her usual default, but it's not unlike other stuff she has worn before and Helena's is perfectly in line with previous outfits…

They said the won't rule out old outfits (which should be obvious to everyone, given TNs “laziness”), they said they will still make sexy outfits (and they already did), they said they are still committed to making the girls beautiful. I'm not sure why people pretend the statements made are a 180° turn in design philosophy.

It seems some people think they will put any girl in a “superheroine suit” just like Kasumi… but that's with almost 100% certainty not going to happen, given that Helena didn't get one and this is still a fighting game… and the fact that chars are visually distinct is fairly important.

And what did you do after the first teaser for DoA5 with women in it?
They made similar statements at that time and I'd say Hitomi's outfit was basically as modest as you can get and Ayane's costume was certainly less skimpy than the one we got for Helena…

At this point and with the stuff, we've seen, I really can't understand the concern and level of “outrage”.

hahhahahhahaahahahahahahhaahahahha no they won't. This company has shown to me that they have no backbone and can be easily bullied by their casual fanbase.

"Real thoughts"

It would be nice if they did turn down on the fanservice. I mean I already find characters like Rachel, Tina, and Lisa attractive. I don't need them in a thong. I would prefer more fashion model stuff for Tina along with more wrestling gear. Same for Lisa too. I want costumes that fit the characters. I wish the girls of DOA to stop being objects, but more so characters. It's funny to say this when I'm a Zack main.
