Is anyone else having trouble finding the Halloween Contest 2014 DLC stuff on XBL Marketplace? I don't see it anywhere.

#BokuhoApprovesCautiously

Try this and you'll see what you're looking for
>From the dashboard, scroll to games, then select my games,
>On the DOA5U tile press X
>Scroll over to Extras then select "see all"
>On the "sort by", choose by date.

Anyway I myself can't find the full set of the Halloween 2014 set for some reasons.... Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ

lol I mean make her default costume light blue and "look advanced" and wa bam there's Samus lol
if DOA one day does what all other dumb fighting games do and customize color schemes I bet that's the first thing people will pull out their bum hole
besides making all the characters look like sailor moon characters and Totally Spies lolz

Team NINJA posted on the DoA site a message of thanks to the fans for the partecipation to the contests.

"The Designers Challenge Season 1 and 2 contests were a great success, with over 700 submissions total from Facebook, Twitter, and the official website. A huge "thank you" to everyone who entered their designs and voted!

This year's 31 DLC Halloween costumes were chosen based on a combination of your votes and the results of our own strict screening process. Not all of the designs were taken from contest entries, and some entries were used for a character other than the ones they were originally submitted for.

All of these costumes can be carried over to Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, coming next Spring.

We hope you enjoy fighting with them, and Happy Halloween!
"

PS: In any cases, all the designs used are visible in the early frames of the official DLC trailer:

It's just a coincidence, but together with the appearence both the main outfits of Samus without armor and Sarah have even a similar name: "Zero Suit" and "VF Suit"

They never make these fancy graphics or an actual page for all winning costumes (like the Halloween winners have) for the first costume contest! D:

The first contest wasn't posted on their official website, in addition these graphics are dedicated to the outfits of the Halloween one that ended to become DLC (and so far we still need to reveal fully all the outfits for the first contest that will become DLC, I suspect that your and Axel's design were just a preview for giving us a taste in the waiting).

By the way, the thanking here was addressed to the partecipants and voting people of both the contests, not only the Halloween one.

That's why I mentioned, I was a little sad, to not see a little graphic for Axel's Marie Rose and my Eliot as well there. ;)
We have yet to see any high quality footage of these costumes. We see them for a second in the trailer and in some very rare off screen footage from TGS and TFC. This not really a complaint...I'm just saying...

Your costumes have been showed like a tease. TN didn't announce officialy first contest designs included in Last Round, but I'm sure they will at some point in a near future.

You are right... :) It's just a little torturous, to wait about a year from the costume contest to the costume appearing in the game, when the Halloween designers have their costumes in about 3 months.
But, don't mind me too much. ;) I guess, the other winners of the first costume contest, whose costumes aren't confirmed to be in Last Round yet, are even more tortured souls right now...

I can't denny I'm willing to see if Rachel will get my design or if my design will be some how in the game (seeing what happened to Halloween costume pack, my design could be used for Tina or Helena xDD or modified..), but I'm not tortured at all. I'm very excited for Last Round. To see new characters, new stages, more hairstyles, PS4 graphic improvements, NETCODE IMPROVEMENT (i hope) and, yes, first contest costumes as well :)

that's right .. you and axel know that your designs definitely are in Last Round and will be in a future game xD that's not a torturous thing .. maybe is torturous can't play yet with it ... and i can understand that hahahaha :) but yup!! is more torturous don't know anything about if other designers costumes are in-game or not :'( i think your eliot design will be my second Eliot costume xD after the one with the black cat ears jacket with black nd red t-shirt! ^_^ Hope in a next trailer they reveal more contest costumes T_T mine for example ... LOL!! x'(

You know, looking at some of these costumes in game, I begin to appreciate them more. Even Sarah's. A lot of them look very good, even some of the ones I previously didn't like.

I still, however, don't like Mila's.

As for the whole, "it's a business model that succeeds," thing, that's not a good thing. TN advertised this game as a serious project, and then turned around and made it a fashion show bordering on softcore pornography. At least contests like these show that there's some good in the whole thing, but it had to be done by other people. Such is life....

But you have also to consider that there were oufits in the top 10 and in general between the entries, with much fanservice but that TN didn't make DLC giving the preference to other sexy but imo more elegant ones. For me this seems more an evidence of the opposite, with the players asking for fanservice (giving so an evidence because the route of DoA5 changed from the beginning), and with TN acting according to different personal guidelines for the most.

EDIT: Btw I agree with the first part of your post

Indeed. Team Ninja puts an incredible amount of detail into their costumes and character models. They look quite gorgeous compared to other fighting games.

  • The hell is up with some of these lazy ass textures/details? *looks at leons tail and shins*

Also why did nyos little sceptre get more attention and detail than her actual wings lol?

In my sear h for silver linings, I found one thing I DO like about the Milamummy. I like the dangling bandages (I love trailing details).
