Nioh General Discussion

I'm wondering if I should get interested in Ni-Oh?
I haven't really tried any Souls games(I have Dark Souls, but I never gotten past even the first level due to never getting around to it) but I plan on jumping onto Bloodborne awhile after I get a PS4.

Anyone wants to give comparisons to which series Ni-Oh's difficulty ultimately gets closer to?

Its just like any other Souls game except each weapon has a high, mid and low stance move set (string and slow, balanced, and fast but weak combo attacks).

Also enemies generally have 2-3 times the health that enemies in Souls games do. Otherwise its about the same.

FYI other than the dodge mechanic id actually call Blood borne the weakest of the Souls games.

Oh and another major difference is Nioh us divided up into separate levels, whereas a souls game is traditionally one big map

I'm so jealous you guys manage to get so into this. I tried a few times and it seems a fun game and I did manage better, but it's just too "difficult" (meaning the slow down and take your time and learn the moves and such) everytime I get a little OK, but lose a fight and have to start again from the beginning I'm done.
Still not gonna give up completely though, might try it again when it comes on sale in the future. I'm much more for a Ninja Gaiden style game than a Souls type.
I'll still check out some of the videos that get posted and see how you all do.

My favorite Mission in the entire demo was the mission where you're on the cliffside area and have to face three waves of enemies before moving on to the next area. The twlight version adds an extra wave making it 4 waves for 3 area's. It really showed me how difficult Nioh is going to be, the fast pace and the intensity of multiple enemies attacking requires the player to think on the fly and makes your awareness go up. The twlight version was my most favorite

Literally 4 more days for TGS. Wonder if we can expect some of the locked skills not available in the beta or new ones entirely.
