Well I think a cruise ship or something similar to freedom survivor definitely has potential. Imagine on the party deck a dangerzone that can start a fire weakening the floors and making them breakable, then being able to go down floor by floor. TN could definitely go places with that. Or even expand on freedom survivor by making it even bigger. Idk it just sounds like a lot of possibilities to me.

Yes, it's an incredible stage. Pretty much every fight there felt like it took place in a completely different place because it was so big and we could throw opponents to several sections of it. Monkey Temple from DOA4 also did this to an extension. I think Home is the only stage in 5 that barely gives this feeling.

I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate from this but welp, I can't help it. This is the internet and your opinions WILL be used against you.

I think bringing back these three huge fantasy-like monsters to the game is not a good idea. I endured Tengu all through 2U and 4 because nobody ever used him against me (in fact, I don't think I ever unlocked him in DOA4) and I can tolerate Alpha for the same reason AND because she's not huge, she's just a glowing naked chick. But I've always critiziced Tekken negatively for having non-human characters in a martial arts game that simply do not fit the visual style of the rest of the cast.

DOA's characters, even with the ninjas and huge-breasted lolitas has always been about humans practicing some form of martial arts. I hated the fact that most of my online experience (lol) in Dimensions was putting up with Genra's ridiculous magic and Raidou's lame moves that feel better on Leon and Bayman. I just don't feel Raidou, Tengu and Genra fit into the cast in DOA5. For Christ's (LIGHT OF THE WORLD) sake, just imagine a Tengu mirror in Home... that'd be a fucking confusing disaster.

The only reason why I'd feel good about Tengu (and just Tengu) coming back is that some members here are being active about it and I know guys like Forlorn would be very happy. Happy DOA fans = more chances of the game being successful competitively. And that is positive for the game. I just know I wouldn't see him at all since I can't play online, none of my friends would ever touch him and I live extremely, EXTREMELY far from the important offline events. But if the community is happy (especially FSD), I'm fine with it. But extending it to a huge magical armored samurai thing and a glowing 6th ninja that launches hadoukens is just too much.

A teleporting jelly-monster with no clothes, nipples or vagina is a lot less plausible to me than a big black guy with sharp teeth and a big nose.

And size-wise he's really no bigger than Bass.

Point in being, the game's aesthetics and design department needs an overhaul. Everything is bland.
You'd think with the low amount of polish on each character, the stages would have taken all the size, detail and special effects in that loss.

No rain, snow, real-time reflections..
They even removed wind physics from the winpose-- when you do nothing but stare and pay attention to detail at that time.
In this vid, you can see they removed self shadowing from character models (and wind physics).

Like. What the fuck.
A demo having better textures and better realistic wind physics than the retail version? o_O That's a damn shame smh.
Also, I love Ayane's sexy appearance on the alpha version, she got that serious badass asian look. What the hell happened?

DoaD did a lot right. Regardless of if people played it or not. There was guaranteed damage, the stun game was far less abusive. There were unholdable situations. Some characters started to get frame advanatge back. It was a step in the right direction. If it wouldn't have had 3 point holds it would have been a far better game though. I for one really wanted to see it's stun system return. I just don't know if I would like how it changes the new factors such as critical burst and the way the game handles guaranteed damage. It might be overkill to some extent the way the game is now. I would love to try a mock up of it though.

Call me crazy but I am just being honest with myself.

Let's see what do I want from Doa 5U...

Real netcode. As much as I would rather always play offline I can't. Having real netcode helps.

I always, always bitch about the buffer. I have said this a bajillion times but I think it needs to be tweaked and lossened a little. The game appears to look a little faster now but it may just be me so it may have changed already. Still, if I am the only one who doesn't like it I guess I just need to accept it. I kinda also dislike how you have to return to neutral to do holds. I see exactly why they did this though. Hell, I mentioned it to them when I gave feedback once.

Crushes seem to have been nerfed a little too much for my taste. Airstate needs to come back xD

I want to see good character balance with character diversity. Guaranteed damage and awesome tools are fine and all, I just want to see tools given to people who make sense and stuff. Also just having the VF characters in kinda changes the game up a bunch. It still weirds me out that their 2ps are not special mids or whatever.

Gimme that damn classic outfit for Ryu. Why the hell can't we just get this damn thing lol? Or something cool that he has his mask off. The tux from DoaD was boss. I have a feeling the classic one will be dlc in 5U hahahah. Also I wanna see the sneaker outfit from the first doa. Nike Ninja lol

I would like to see Highway Star for Christie come back. Rockin that Deep Purple vibe. The aviators would fit it perfectly. We need moar scarves in doa.

I gotta agree it really isn't ultimate without Tengu. Or maybe I am strange for wanting a new definitive version of Doa or something. ( I feel like I am repeating something I read with that xD) This game is feeling rushed. While not realistic it would be cool if everybody made it back in.

As far as stages go I really miss The Yozakura and raining Buri stages. They are kinda boring though. So I doubt to see them sadly. Lorelei and anything with half walls would be awesome too.

Overall my casual wants are far less important then the competive ones. It is pretty much too late for this to reach team ninja but still. (Maybe they will use their extra time to work in Tengu lol.) Really I just wan't the game to be good. I havent had as much fun with Doa 5 as I would have liked and I hope 5U is better./Wallotext

The actual launch height of Dimensions itself was probably the problem. It took way too much effort to get Leon's or Bass' air throws. Resetting launch height was also bad too. Just two of Hayabusa's :8::P:s would flip the opponent over when in the air. If we have Dimensions stun system, DOA3's or DOA5's launch height, and DOA3's or DOA5's juggling properties, I think we can have a true ultimate DOA.

Why couldn't this have been the Street stage? -_-

This stage was so full of life imo. And not only that, but the floor textures didn't look like shit either.
