Thank you guys for all these news. This is very refreshing. I'm glad TN put real efforts on Helena, after hearing she was one of the last focus from the programmation team for DOA5. Where can i find good videos? I'm on my family's ipad, it's hard to search for good footage or watch the twitch archive.
The only videos I've seen are on the Twitch stream.

Eh, I'm not worried. Losing 6P tech just means designing combos around the other techs she has, all of which can be used in different variations just fine. It was an obvious means to an end, but not the only one. (Though since FTs are now all around harder, I don't know specifics).

Plus, my sense is that her new tools really are useful for neutral pressure, and that they'll make life fun. (I am not convinced of how useful the BT cancels are just yet, needs better investigation)
But BKO P+K > 4K > 4K > 66K doesn't work, neither does BKO F+P > 4PP8K > 2K. If these two attacks don't cause force tech when set up like this I can't think how we can set it up.

She's not crippled, she returned the blender and got a full tool set.
We'll see when the game comes out. If she is DOA5 Helena, minus the blender with a few bound attacks added then she might not be that great. Some safety and some decent SDS would go a long way but I don't get the impression that she got them.

I'm sure there is some tech to discover with her. After what happened with her pre release I'm more inclined to trust TN on this one.

She already got a lot of safety(-5) on all her open palm moves in 1.03

GB into BKO, BT stance being more accessible from her move set, and bt throw still has its guaranteed set ups, makes her very good.

66p stunning opens up a lot of options at mid range as well.

Plus 3 new taunts? That's 1 for every game she didn't get a new one.

Plus she's dressed like a cop. Top tier.

I still don't think she needs her force techs to compete. She has damage, great mix-up, a nice throw game (which will be even better if that new sit-down stun of hers does guarantee a CB, since it'll be a HCH combo), evasion and decent-enough frames.

We don't know whether her new SDS guarantees anything yet. Ninja thought it was +44 but turns out he was looking at 6P+K P.

BT 7P is now a CB BTW! We now have 3, sadly they are all mid punches but beggars can't be choosers.

Her mix-up was already beastly. Adding new moves and transitions only helps.

And I know we're not sure, that's why I said "if." xD But regardless, she won't be bad at the very least.

Yep although none of her new strings can be used to cancel into BT and the CB as 8PP, 6P and 3PP when free cancelled remove deep stun. If they changed the properties of those moves it would be awesome.

P(P) now causes a bound state so you may need to re think that one I'm afraid.

BKO 6P4P and BKO 4P will most likely become your new best friends.

Damn, I forgot. Well there's always 4P when you're just facing front.

Maybe from the BKO position, they will be my best friends.
