Glad to have you here, Welcome. Who do you main in the series?
Well, I was more casual, so no serious main. Haven't played in ages and got a ps3, so my experience with DOA4 was minimal too. But when I did play, it was usually the female characters (which I do in any fighting game anyway) and of those, Helena was a personal favourite that I probably never played properly. With Kasumi and Ayane being heavily used to.

Pretty solid choices. Helena is that monster out of the three, though. Well she was in 4. I am 50/50 when it comes to the gender in the characters I use.

Nice. Out of the 3 I can only use Kasumi well. I could never quite get Ayane down, and Helena is just a little too complicated for me. Not that I'm lazy, she's just very challenging to use well. I typically prefer faster characters though.

A challenger approaches - it's RuNNing Riot! Glad to be here. :)

I'm a British 18-going-on-19-year-old Sixth Form student, with a preference for the slow powerhouses in fighting, with Bass and Bayman as my mains. Some of you might have seen me around on DOAWorld; I migrated over from there largely because almost all the top players frequent this forum far more, and generally discussion is waaay more interesting here. Probably won't post much due to my inexperience, but I'll definitely have plenty of questions to ask once I start learning a bit more.

I think I'll just lurk around the DOA5 board for now. Here's hoping the game'll turn out good.

Hi to everyone! This is my first post also if I follow the site long before my sign.

I'm a big fan of DOA (along with Ninja Gaiden) from DOA3. I really like the aspects more connected to the characters and the plot of the series, but at the same time I'm very interested also to the gameplay and its mechanics. Definetely I'm not an expert and my level is average, however I try to improve my style of game (time permitting). Sadly at the moment I don't have a subscription to Xbox live, so I play when I have the possibility on the servers of DOA:O.

I like use every characters, anyway my main is the lovely Ayane (in DOA4 she is tied with Ein, while In DOA1 I prefer use "heavy" characters like Bayman, Raidou or Bass).

I hope to have a good stay here and possibily also to post quite often :)

Glad that that you finally spoke up and made your presence known. Welcome.

That's a big switch up in characters, from 1 to 4. Interesting.

Hey guys

My name is Xavier from Bridgeport, Connecticut in the Northeast USA (Im originally from Puerto Rico) Huge fan of Dead or Alive since DOA2 Hardcore. I play for fun though I sometimes can be competitive as well. Its been a long time since I stopped playing DOA4 on XBL but some of you guys may have come across me at some point, I already see some names I recognize. My favorite character is Kokoro and I tend to play Kasumi, Hitomi, Ayane, Eliot and most others. With DOA5 coming up and the demo out I figured this would be a nice place to go to. I previously frequented DOA Kunoichi back when that place was alive, and somewhat in DOA Central as a member of MDK for a little while.

anyway I like the site, its clean and sleek and seems friendly so, happy to be here.

I hope to be able to do that kind of thing at some point, but I dont see it happening now. Ive never played with anyone in person only over XBL but the thought of meeting up with other people who know how to play DOA especially some people I already have met online would be awesome, even if im terrible at it. Im in southwestern CT much closer to NYC than MA.

Thanks for the Welcome, its a nice place.

Yeah generally after your first offline tournament experience you tend to get hooked at the offline play. They're more about the meetups, food, drinks, and chatting than they are the actual tournament most of the time.

I remember doing VTYME in Virginia and after the event the whole group of 20-25 of us would go out to get something to eat and just chat about the game, community, or each other's lives lol.

A fellow CT'er! I live up in Boston now, but I'm originally from the Hartford area. I go back often to visit family and friends, so I'll drop you a line the next time I'm in the area and maybe we can get some games in.

Hey Xion, I believe we had a couple of matches online a few minutes ago xD

You kicked my ass with Kokoro twice, and you were about to do the same with Kasumi but I got disconnected. Sorry 'bout that, my connection is in bitchy a mood today... Anyway, good fights!

Que la pases bien por acá, che :)
