DOA5U seems to be a mixed bag with some characters losing and gaining stuff. im cutious if its so far mostly negative or positive. Understandably tech is still being figured out so you can change your answer later if you change your mind.

Females:
Helena - still my main
Sarah - still my 2nd main
Christie, Tina, Lisa, Ayane - not dropping

Males:
Eliot, Bayman, Bass - not dropping
Leon - relearning
Jacky - unsure about picking up

I guess you could say I'm satisfied.

Bass, overall he still has his trouble in the higher levels of play where it's difficult for him to press advantage or land his chance attacks. However, now if he does land one of those chance attacks, he's going to make you pay. I mean a 2 or 3 hit combo or one throw from him is = in damage to a striker character like Hitomi, Kasumi, or Christie's 10 hit combos lol.

<I like mine. Regardless of how broken everyone thinks she is, she fits my type of playstyle well, so I officially have a DOA main now

I always forgot to tech someone up anyhow so his ground game hasn't changed the much for me,one thing I'm very happy about is that :7::K:,:P::P: is guaranteed now before you had to stun to connect it all.

The rolls are...odd. Having difficulty seeing the point of them :/

his gaurd break is probably my favorite part changing it from :6: :6: :P+K: to just :6: :P+K:
has made this move so much easier and quicker to use.

I don't mind the Tina changes that much. Don't get the force techs, but her bound stuff is pretty neat.

Sarah is fine. Helena feels weird when her PFTs from bukuho no longer make her opponent stand up.

-All that force tech stuff is left over DOA4 nonsense. Tina is and always should be about getting that guaranteed ground game damage. Her ground game in 5U is actually a buff. She is more of a threat now, and is kinda back to her 3.1 threatening self lol.

Ayane's still awesome. Still trying to find more tech on her but overall, still solid and still getting great damage. She has better mobility with her new 1P+K spin input along with other things. Overall, VERY satisfy with her still.

I like Hitomi. She's got sick juggles against mids/lights now. And she finally got herself a working SDS, I can 214P 3K juggle all day long.

Kokoro's only buff was her new costume. The nerfs she got make no sense.

Ayane is still awesome, though.

despite my earlier claims Eliot is definitely better in ultimate, he has more refloats, superior mixup game, lows that stun on normal hit now giving him easier way to open up defending opponents, and more juggle options that he didn't have in vanilla

7p nerf hurts but at the very least it still does its thing by stopping aggressive opponents in their track despite no longer causing deep stun on CH

even without 6P+K stun on BT opponents he still gets good guaranteed combos from H+K

he now has a tracking mid that hits Jak/tank roll shenanigans

so yup i have to say overall im satisfied in the end
