Oh, I was wondering why the other thread fell silent all of a sudden ...

I think the lack of information is because ... there isn't that much information to begin with. If the game had any major changes this guy would've orgasmed all over it. Come to think about it, why did they call the game Ultimate Arcade? Probably because it's a one-to-one port of Ultimate for the arcades.

Although there's a new character, each person can only play three rounds, and everybody decided that it's easier to figure out what the hell Escape Cat does instead of looking too deep into a build that doesn't even have a practice mode to view the technical details.

Just "throwing" this out there, but Leon tossing Marie Rose off a cliff in the Lost World or into the generation in Scramble is going to look hilarious.
Tossing little girls around with little regard of their safety is always comedy gold in those ideal situations.

The third set of avatars are now up on PSN. Here is my HD preview of 'em:

Why is Zack always last to these chumps?.......

Of course; Why would they make the least popular characters first for an avatar set?

I would personally have gone with a mix to tactfully balance the popularity, lol.

Ninjas + VF : Kasumi, Ayane, Ryu, Hayate, Rachel, Momiji, Jacky, Sarah, Pai, Akira
World Fighters : Lei Fang, Jann Lee, Tina, Bass, Hitomi, Leon, Eliot, Brad, Gen Fu, Mila
DOATEC/MIST : Helena, Bayman, Zack, Kokoro, Rig, Christie, Mariposa/Lisa, Ein, Alpha

But it's just a detail. ^_^

So i guess...props for being the first fighter to have a differing body type?

I'd wait for the day that they finally create an old biddy fighter with ALL visible signs of aging.

Lets see if they would still sexualize her up in thongs than look prim and proper in conservative clothing and bloomers.

Okay guys, I know people will probably make a fuss about it, but I would like to see your opinions on the merging of Hayate and Ein in DOA6. I am myself not 100% convinced but my reasoning is that these two seperate characters are boring while fusing them would create an exciting fighter. This is of course totally subjective.

I am not sure about the best option :
- either give Hayate all the moves Ein has that he does not have (7P, 33K, 4K, some holds, etc.)
- or create a Sheik/Zelda, offensive/defensive Vanessa configuration where you can switch the two movesets with a button or a taunt

Pros :
- Hayate would have an amazing catalogue with iconic costumes (thanks to Ein)
- TN would have no excuse NOT to bring Ein back, so no more cuts
- TN doesn't even plan to give Ein new tools anyway, Ein is abandonned
- that would be an interesting individuality for Hayate who is plain and boring (IMO)
- Hayate would have a new important and interesting story/role to explain that schizophrenia
- it would make more sense in the character selection since they are technically the same persona

Cons :
- people want their Ein intact, something I can totally understand
- it mathematically reduces the number of characters in the cast
- the "switch" thing would be hard to develop and use competitively
- why would they bother doing this ??!

Reaction. :ein:

If by fusing them together, you mean like turning them to conjoined twins (e.g. Lisa & La Mariposa, Bass & Mr. Strong) or something like Tira's happy/gloomy mood swings?

If it's the latter, I'm imagining him getting headaches just to change personas/fighting styles which could give advantages to the opponents if they manage to block strikes before changing and it could be a little too complex to adapt to unless one knows how to play both characters well.

Hayate was already designed as a mix between Ein and other ninjas. Mixing him with parts of his origin would just feel oddly meta. Think of Ein as blue, ninjas as red and Hayate as purple. Combining Hayate would be like taking out blue and purple and in their place getting a blueish-purple.

If by fusing them together, you mean like turning them to conjoined twins
ROFL WHAT THE FUCK!?!

are you Dr. Frankenstein in disguise? that is fucked-up!

AHAHAHAHAA

@David Gregg can I get a photoshop of this? xD

LOL well basically, Hayate and Ein are the only conjoined twins with a successful operation (thus why there's a separate character slot for both). XD

Unfortunately for conjoined twins # 1 (La Mariposa and Lisa) and conjoined twins # 2 (Mr. Strong and Bass), they had to share one slot in the roster and costume selections different from each other's personalities.

I got mixed feelings about fusing them back to their pre-operational stage though. Sure, it will make Hayate somewhat an interesting playstyle because of the constant persona change but at the same time it can also be confusing as Lisa's constant allegiance shifts.

I actually kind of like the Sheik/Zelda idea. lol Maybe they can give Hayate some kind of move (7H+P+K?) that would change him to Ein's moveset. If you don't wanna get hit while changing personas, just do it after a knockdown or when you're far away from your opponent. And, give the option to start the match with Ein's moveset for anyone who prefers him over Hayate's.

But, this might be OP. :x I know I'd love this though since I main both. XD
