Sorry, but I'm with Grunt here. You could swap weapons if you wanted, but you could easily mow through the enemies with plenty of "style rank" in DmC using mostly Rebellion (except on the dumb color-coded enemies) and the chain pulls. I played most of the game just like I played Nero in DMC4: braindead.

Vergil was more interesting, but still not on par with DMC3 Vergil, let alone the rest of that game.

Suffice to say, the pace, look and mechanics of Yaiba's gameplay look more like DmC than any other game I know.

Well, I could easily see it being difficult on the higher difficulties. Lots of games are.

Fair and challenging is an entirely different matter.

Also, if you're fighting Hayabusa, it's gotta be tough.

"Tecmo KOEI began streaming an 18-minute gameplay video on Thursday for its upcoming Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z video game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. In the video, tarot card fortune-teller Nagisa, former member of Hudson Soft Meijin Takahashi, and Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi speak about the game as Nagisa plays. Hayashi guides the fortune-teller by explaining the controls and system."
Footage-wise, nothing too new. The UI is more recent and its in Japanese so I have no idea what they were saying.

Ya that may be true but I dont think NG3 sold very well and it got a 2nd version. Either way, Team Ninja is one of only developers that get a pass with that shit from me cause they make some of the best ninja games I've ever played. If nothing else, this game looks like pure fun.

NG3 sold very well actually lol

I will pass on Yaiba after watching that gameplay

They were talking about the mechanics of the game mostly like combo/counter/grab. The end talked about the upgrade system and how you can learn new moves and whatnot.

Apparently there is a system similar to that of NG's OT called execute where you press L2 after exclamation pops up on the enemy.

Not for a multi console release. Compare the sales to NGB or NG2 which were only exclusive for xbox.

Considering NG isn't a triple A title selling, over 500,000 is excellent for multi console

Well, Team Ninja and Yaiba have made a contest on Twitter called the #HaikuHorror, in which you have to tweet your best haiku to them. Apparently, I just won a free T-Shirt. Not bad.
