Just a heads up, it's currently unconfirmed, but since the patch list is from gamecity then it seems these are for the arcade version's 1.05. I don't think these will be in the patch coming up next week with Marie Rose to console.

Pft I was hitting them just frames on a regular basis. I'm actually hoping they're just as difficult so only the people devoted to her will actually be good with her instead of everyone bandwagoning. However i'm doubtful. Lisa has a just frame throw and it's quite easy. Best I can hope for is they require as much skill as VF just frames.
Congrats for having no trouble with just inputs. Sadly I do, so that's at my disadvantage lol. Your viewpoint on her moveset inputs and how it may affect how many people pick her up makes sense though.

Just-frame moves? They did that to attract me in there. Well played TN.

If it's true, she better be hard as shit to play with. I hope that hood doesn't come off during an actual match.

We already have two Kasumi's that require little to no execution skill. Why should this one be the same? I think if this character has difficult just frame combo's then it'll be great to see players actually devote themselves as well as put in time into mastering this character; Similar to Alpha Patroklos, difficult to use, but comes with a huge pay off. Like Alpha Patroklos, if too difficult then there's regular patroklos.

I have the feeling that I'm the only one who is not excited with this new character.

I watched the video and told to myself: "oh, she does this like Kasumi" "oh, the same kick that Kasumi" "oh, without hood, she does have the same face that kasumi", "oh, she teleports herself, like alpha, the kasumi-clone" etc.

Ok, she makes black smoke and her power blow is original. yes, the video is catchy. But but but... I can't get out of my mind that, in everyday play, she's just going to irritate me when I will face her, like alpha today ("oh, no, the kasumi clone. Can't I fight a real character!?").

Kasumi is an easy to use character, mainly because she's the face of DOA. Usually, main characters are easy and balanced (aside from Akira in VF, but he's an exception). Alpha-152 is also easy to use, but has so many drawbacks: predictable, no wake up kicks, barely in OHs, featherweight. With Phase-4, Team Ninja really wanted to make sure this "clone" has the tools to be great, but also, a character where you actually have to spend time training to use effectively. Suffice it to say, I'm excited for Phase-4 now that I've seen the trailer.

because this is DOA the most accessible 3d fighter out there ALL the characters should remain that way. so what if someone else can pick them up casually and still have fun with it does that really ruin the character for you?

Except all characters are NOT easily accessible lol. Ayane, Brad Wong, Eliot, Rig, Akira, DOA5U Ein, and possibly more. These are characters that require efficiency, time, and devotion to get desired results. Pretty sure anyway who mains one of these characters can vouch for that.

No not really, I play Eliot and it does not bother me when someone plays him casually, nor did it in DOA4 when someone played Helena casually and couldn't play her effectively. I just think it would add more uniqueness and personality to phase 4 if she was a character who required effeciency, time, and devotion like for the characters I mentioned above. If you truly want to play her then you'll put in the work and time like everyone else. Sounds like someone's a bit lazy =/

I can't find Hayabusa in the patch changelog. Is anything changing with him?

You are not :) Agreed. Just one original power blow and oh my gosh she is miracle!!! She hasn't distinctive moves. Watching her was torment she dissapears and slaps slaps slaps...Maybe I am getting older...I really bored with spam in fighting games.

Phase 4 actually looks sick, and she's got a much better wardrobe than Kasumi. If I ever wanted to pick up Kasumi, I'll definitely use Phase 4 instead at this point. Still another Kasumi clone yes, but she looks fun. Plus she has more of DOA3 Kasumi's voice and sound clips. Best incarnation of Kasumi voice wise.

On the other hand, Marie Rose don't care. No Ein buffs, snuck in Akira nerf and Hayate I don't even know. Game is the same for me, not interested.

So that first change for Ayane. "Adjust the [hitbox] of large attack down." They're taking away her range? Someone with a working knowledge of Japanese, say it a'int so!

the thing about all of those characters isn't the execution but when to use it. anyone can complete their command training and anyone can use their moves, its when and where and why that truly defines whether your any good or not though. unnecessarily difficult moves like the Rajin take the focus away from the strategy and puts an unnecessary barrier between a player and what they want the character to do.

Kasumi doesn't have little execution skill. I don't know why everyone says this. Some of her strings require precise inputs and can be very similar to one another and the transitions after 7K require precise timing from my experience.
It seems that Phase 4 may be even harder. I'll devote as much time to her as necessary though.

I doubt she's going to have just-frames. They probably act like Kasumi's teleports, you can only use them on hit, not on block(except after 66PP) or whiff.
