Just got to
Dragon Earie. Oh, man it looks so fuckin' cool! This is the first time I've been really excited by a Dark Souls game

Alright so after the stupidly dumb second boss I went into the crows nest (because memories with nests in birds from DS!) and I'm gonna continue with that area today.

One thing I do miss is popping humanity. ;( I could get through the whole game with a Chaos blade with a mad amount of humanity (even tho you only need 10 humanity for the Chaos Blade to get to it's max potential) in my counter in the original Dark Souls. I miss that. I couldn't do it in this game anyways because every single new boss would kill me but still.

Prepare for things to get a lot easier from here, at least for quite some time.

Online I saw quite a few people saying that the third boss fight was one of (if not the) hardest boss fight they encountered in the game. Personally, it was a really easy one for me (much easier than the Pursuer) and I passed it on my second try. I don't think you'll have much problems until a lot later, or unless you dive into optional areas prematurely.

Haha easier? Guess they made the game friendlier for newcomers after all. Eh, not gonna say anything bad about the difficulty yet.
There are several annoying/cheap parts (Shrine of Amana/Gutter), but not a whole ton of "difficult" parts, imo.
There have really only been three parts I've found sufficiently "difficult," if you include fighting the Pursuer without the ballista. And this is mostly because of my refusal to use consumable items, spells, and summons coupled with my OCD completionist nature. For the average player, this game is actually pretty relaxing and stress-free (at least to the point where I've gotten to).

Dragon shrine spoilers

Still haven't beat that fucking ancient dragon yet. I know the bestway is to stay by his feet but fuck me the dude always flying in the air, hard to get him to stay on the ground

Am I the only one who tries to quote stuff with a spoiler in it and then you see the spoiler in you own post? : (
Eh, I forgot that stuff anyways, lol.

I used to do that on the old forum I frequented. But now I've adjusted to highlight->delete things without reading them (partly because I multi-quote dissect in my rhetorical posts so much, haha).

So I played some DS2 again and HOLY SHIT! Heides tower of flame spoilers.

Those giants are amazing. The first one has cracked blue eye orbs as a guaranteed drop I guess? They remind me of Anor Londo. So I went into some boss fog and saw this "dragonrider" and I'm like "would be better if it was the dragon slayer but k." Not to mention this is a very plain, boring and easy boss.

I was casually listening to Billy Talent and then I went into some other boss fog and HOLY SHIT ORNSTEIN! <3

Yo god damn just got the Hower's ring of protection. This shit is the best ring in the game IMO you take no damage from back attacks, meaning all you gotta do is put your back to a boss if you think you will get hit and BAM no damage.

downside it breaks easy but you can use repair powder so all is good.

I KNOW!!! I was so happy to see it.

Was watching a straem last nght where someone was going through the game only using maces/dual wielding maces. Holy crap he took bosses down fast.

He wasn't hard to take down either. I guess all 273130874 times I beat him in DS helped. He stayed the same except for the magic.
