Pretty sure Ryu, being part of the dragon lineage, is unique in that he is descended from dragons. I think him and his father are the only living descendants. The rest of the hayabusa clan are just ordinary ninjas. I'm not totally sure about all this though.

lol, hearing "descended from dragons", I think of Koopa from the old super Mario movie.

So a little off topic. Anyone remember this likely fake screenshot hinting Tengu in the game on April 1?
View attachment 5730

Even if it's most likely fake, with this recent DLC bundle Ayane now has 29 outfits and Marie Rose has 10 so it is matching up pretty well (when this was released Ayane had 27 and MR had 9 and I said I doubted Ayane would get 3 more outfits and MR only 2).

Still makes me wonder...
So it means 1 more before Tengu.... Im calling it, E3 marks the return of TENGU! Flock my bretheren.

TN won't be at E3 this year though. -_-

Or it's a fake and/or inaccurate, which is kinda likely, considering the various outcomes that could happen from the fan contest.

I don't understand programming so just bear with me, but couldn't that be showing the # of costumes that patch had programmed for the characters at that time? Meaning there could still be another batch of DLC for Ayane and MR before the outfit contest DLC?

Ryu has the utmost strength, so unless you're in a Ryu mirror, you don't have the balls to reverse an Izuna.
Leon allows them to happen at full strength in matches. What happens only appears to be a DOA Izuna.

no one in DOA can do this amount of guaranteed damage off a single setup, fuck canon strength im all about dat gameplay strength

Well that's what he gets for trying to throw it instead of, you know, hold it.
Don't forget he can do it off Normal Hits.

e3 period maybe.

Hopefully. In any event, I know that screenshot was most likely fake but whoever made it the # outfits have been pretty accurate so far.

And I can believe that TN would have had outfits programmed in a patch a couple of months in advance. Rachel and Momiji have had their cheerleader outfits in the arcade for a while.

Wait, are we sure TN won't be at E3 at all ?

I mean, Hyrule Warriors, DOA5U... nothing at all ?
I mean, they can still "stay home" in their office and announce new things around mid-June right ?

The "part-fiend" thing is really hard to pin down, because a LOT of humans have fiend blood. Anyone who is susceptible to the curse is descended from the fiends. The Hayabusa ninjas were also blessed by the ancient dragon deities, and it may be possible that this has given them superhuman advantageous. But, none of this is proven. In other words, we don't know what abilities Ryu/Rachel exhibit from some sort of genetic advantage and what abilities they simply learned through rigorous training/exposure to proper instruction (Momiji being no different, for the record). The same argument could also be made for the Mugen Tenshin ninjas. We really don't know what abilities are inherited through their clan and which ones they are simply disciplined enough to use, if there is any disctinction at all. Thus, calling them the "human ninjas" may be premature, as they may be no more human than Ryu. The possibility that the Mugen Tenshin carry fiend blood is quite high, considering how many people appear susceptible to the curse. Furthermore, the Mugen Tenshin may have additional "superhuman" advantages, much like the Hayabusa's "Dragon Lineage."

All things said and done, it's sorta vague and ambiguous where our hero's powers come from. Only one thing is certain: Hayabusa has the most of them and he kicks everyone's ass.

Now see, you have a point there...except again, it's all just theory.
In NG:B, it's been stated that yes, the Hayabusa Clan has descended from the Dragons that have fought against the Black Dragon, aka, the main monster that was, if I believe, connected to the Fiends and the Vigoor Emperor by proxy. It's also been kind of established that Hayabusa is a Half-Fiend BECAUSE Doku was able to turn him into a crazy fiend within time.
And as we've seen from Alma, it doesn't take too much of a push to turn you into something similar to an inhuman Fiend either, so because Hayabusa didn't turn into something like Alma immediately, just like Rachel, doesn't mean he can't. You do have a point with Momiji and in fact, I also believe she's of Fiend blood as well, she's more or less in the same territory as Ryu. The problem with the Mugen Tenshin is that nothing of the sort states that they are of the same cloth as the Hayabusa Clan and the only person who was stated to be akin to a demon was Raidou(and Ayane by proxy). So until TN finally decides to go full deep into Mugen Tenshin and Hajimon History...

Kasumi and Hayate are 100% human, Ayane is ???, and Ryu, Rachel and Momiji are 60% Human, 40% Fiend.

Kinda. The Dark Dragon (bad one) enabled the Fiends to enter Earth in the form of the Evil Deities, who began to mix their bloodline with humanity to make servants out of them. We do not know how many humans were affected and how many were untouched, but I gather it had to be a lot given how many fiends there are. We also know that the fiend "blood curse" passes through generations genetically. One of these cursed tribes rebelled against the Evil Deities, and their greatest champion caught the attention of the Heavenly Dragons (good dragons). They gave him the Dragon Sword, carved from one of their fangs and infused with their hokey-power. Upon receiving this sword, his blood also mixed with those of the Heavenly Dragons, and allowed him to defeat the evil deities/fiends. His descendants founded the Hayabusa Ninja Clan, with his direct descendants being Joe and Ryu Hayabusa.

It's also been kind of established that Hayabusa is a Half-Fiend BECAUSE Doku was able to turn him into a crazy fiend within time.
It wasn't a time thing, really. He would have become a Fiend, but the True Dragon Sword held the curse at bay.

And as we've seen from Alma, it doesn't take too much of a push to turn you into something similar to an inhuman Fiend either, so because Hayabusa didn't turn into something like Alma immediately, just like Rachel, doesn't mean he can't.
He can turn into a fiend. I believe the only reason Rachel didn't is because Doku wanted to do some elaborate bullshit to turn her into a Greater Fiend, which took a ritual and more time. Ryu resisted it through the Dragon Sword.

You do have a point with Momiji and in fact, I also believe she's of Fiend blood as well, she's more or less in the same territory as Ryu. That's my point. We don't know. Their powers may be learned or inherited. Furthermore, consider that they may have superhuman blood, but it may not be derived from the Fiends or Eternal Dragons. There are demons and other interdimensional beings, and fantastical stuff seems to lurk around the corner everywhere in this canon. It's never stated they are 100% human or not.

So after Metroid : Other M, Team Ninja is working on Hyrule Warriors. Seems that their friendship is getting stronger with Nintendo. Ryu with a Mario cap soon ? Ryu in Smash Bros. (playable/AT) ?
