New Famitsu scan showing Rig and Christie(new evening gown outfit)

Sarah isn't full on TKD in the first place. She started as Jeet Kune Do and has lately been listed as using "a collection of martial arts" (which works out as Jeet Kune Do anyway).

It would be cool to see Christie/Eddy get differentiated more from each other, like Sarah and Jacky have been.

That's a very good point. What if you got DOA5 in September and were expecting 4 or 5 new characters? Or an entire VF crossover? It's not that I don't like hype. I'm very excited to see how Rig and everyone else play. Why can't I be hyped for that?

Remember we haven't officially seen Bass and Sarah in action so with Rig,we might see three "new" ones.

I'm really happy about finally having a TKD fighter, I always expected the style to be implemented in a girl, maybe a rival to Hitomi or something like that. But Rig is very cool. When is the trailer coming¿

Which means another month or so without Jann Lee and Helena. I'm starting to be afraid about this...

Honestly, with the way their(TN) going, I expect new info at the end of every month or at the tournaments planned.

Yes but I mean, It's been way too long since the game was originally announced (Busa and Hayate trailer) and we still haven't seen Jann Lee and Helena. Logic tells me they will be there but I can't help being a little scared about it. My four favorites have always been those two with Leifang and Busa so it's actually very important to me to see Hele and Lee.

Yeah, haven't they stated multiply times that all previous characters will make it into the game? I'm not worried at all. Also, Jann Lee is like one of the creators favorites isn't he? Expect Jann Lee to be very powerful.

Helena is tied into DOATEC leadership while Jann Lee's been in every DOA fighter to date. I don't think you have to worry.

P.S. The alpha demo exe revealing Rig's name (as we see is an official character) strongly suggests the other names are legit as well.

Howarang...bland? Seriously? Now if you said Baek then I probably would agree, but Howarang has a cool badboy persona to him, oh and he's a bit naive so that "all about justice" is out the window.
Kim and a handful of other TKD characters are pretty much the embodiment of justice....More so MayLee(KOF). Which is why actual korean's had a major dislike for Juri....*shrugs* Howarang is rather bland to me, nothing really seems special with him Beak is actually rather interesting to me but maybe that's because hes a war vet and being a old man gives you respect points.....

Yeah, I also give more respect for Baek for some reason.

Hwoarang is just for the ladies in my book.

You guys are funny.

Hype is a very bad thing. Too much hype and then you are left disappointed. Going into anything neutral is the best way to go rather than hyping it.

Hype, in essence, is the reward for good marketing/advertising. Hype represents the level of excitement of potential consumers generated by the various promotions of a given product ... excitement which leads to potential sales. If companies didn't bother to promote (effectively, mind you) their products, sales of those products would be SIGNIFICANTLY lower than they would be with hype.

Thing is, no matter how good a product is, there will ALWAYS be people disappointed with something about it. Like they say, "Haters gonna hate." This goes for everything ... games, movies, cars, tablets, phones, kids toys, rollercoasters, insurance plans, cable TV, PPV events, etc. That doesn't mean it is a bad thing for companies to hype these up. These products are made, afterall, by businesses, and businesses are looking to draw enough sales on products to gain enough profit to warrant continuing to produce said products. They only increase their chances of making profits by generating hype.

I've already discussed this with you. So I'll just ask 2 questions:

1) Your "hype" to see how Rig and other characters play in the game ... is that at level anywhere near the EXPLOSION other people's hype levels were when the Akira trailer hit, and no one had ANY idea that bombshell was coming?

2) Do you think that a bunch of people who buy DOA5 with a "dream scenario" of it having X new/guest characters would immediately turn around and get rid of the game SOLELY because that "dream scenario" didn't happen? (like ... How many people dropped UMvC3 solely because of the lack of Mega Man X?)

Rig is probably one of the cooler looking male fighters. And Christie kinda looks like shes wearing a sleeping gown.

 oh boy here we go. We all know you love hype at annoying levels. Sorry that I don't get caught up in idiotic hype.

They need to make a CvS3, Kim vs Juri needs to happen.

And speaking of Kim...

Rig needs an entrance just like that. His clothes burning off to reveal a TKD gi underneath.
