First discovered by @pachincko this seems likely to be our new Tengu shown in Famitsu. More details are bound to show up incredibly soon and we will keep this updated. She looks pretty, and I hope that Tengu fans will be impressed by the final package, because Tengu fans have waited a long time for this.

Everyone's so excited at the prospect that she's allegedly pretty and that her mask can be taken off.

Sigh.... it's not the same. Oh well, I hope at least she gets tengu's moveset, but without tengus quotes and such it just won't be the same.

Assuming she has the exact moveset I'm glad they replaced her for that ugly monster. I hate to be that guy, but this Tengu meme was kinda dumb. I've played DOA since DOA2U's release. No one gave a shit about him. Now suddenly he's got so many fans. I legitimately feel bad for the 1% who actually liked him, I suppose. I'm almost positive TN has the statistics on all the characters from the old games. And I doubt Tengu was very high. In DOA4 he was the least played. And Subway was the only one who even touched him in DOA2U.

Maybe phase 4 for console and "Tengu" for arcade.

Either way, the allure this character has makes me want to use her.

 

Not sure if this ha been brought up,but her name - Tayo Tengu (たよ てんぐ), literally means "Female Tengu".

 

in the end i'm a little disappointed...the last 2 characters that we recived are
a Kasumi Clone and a Tengu Rip-off.
Still think that Marie is the best, at least she's a brand new character

It'll be interesting if she has the exact same moveset as Tengu. Because then we're gonna hear "Buff Tengu" for about a year. xD

 

meh, she is pretty but I dont think i want her if she plays like Tengu.. but at least Tengu players can be somewhat happy, whoever doesnt want her doesnt have to pay for her so its all good then again if she doesnt play like Tengu its basically a tease to Tengu players :/

I think there's an overabundance of female characters, but I like this. She's cool, and kind of has an evil edge. I also like that its not Tengu rehashed. I didn't want him back because he's a dead boss character. Would be a lame throwback. This is a nice twist on it.

I highly doubt it'll be as good considering what they did to Alpha's FLT P from vanilla, which was similar to Tengu's wind except holdable from max range

But yeah her style is the same (tengu dou). She can fly and you can see what looks like a version of Tengu's H+K in the shot vs Ryu

 

I'm sorry, but this character is so generic, she can be the level 2 boss of every beat em up ever made, including NG.

They could at the very least try and keep all the original Tengu moves.
