It is indeed a brilliant idea for the community. The DOA fans are very creative compared to MANY different gaming franchises.

They didn't say 100% that the costumes will enter the game, but if this was just a fan art thing, they would have held it in October, and have the voting closed on October 31st/November 1st. I think they want to make them into DLC, and this halloween theme is a perfect time frame to produce the 3D models and release them for early-November.

I agree: I think that definitely an Halloween contest organized for being closed for the half of July want mean that they plan to make part of these outfits in a future Halloween pack. We can't be sure if in this DLC pack all the outfits will be taken from the designs of the fans (this would be great), but definitely I think that at the most TN could plan to alternate their own designs with ones from the fans, in a pack that we are sure would be addressed to the complete roster (well, almost complete seeing the fate of Alpha-152 last time...)

I honestly feel that they are getting ideas from all our costumes. I feel that we will see costumes in the game, in the future, that didn't win in the contest. All costume ideas are now owned by team ninja and by the franchise. In return, the costumes might lead to DOA6 costume ideas or later DLC ideas. This isn't my expertise but it is my thoughts and gut feeling that is leading to that theory. My opinion is that they might mix and match ideas... or put in other costumes that have not won into the dead or alive series. This could be wishful thinking or way off. However, in reality, individuals and groups of people get ideas by seeing other outfits and creative ideas.

I would still really love to see mine, or a variation, in game.

On the topic of them changing entries

I bet if they used Tyaren's awesome Eliot entry, they'd change the kilt to plaid pants. :/ It was something different and true to his heritage (that person on fb had no idea what he was talking about). Also I'd love to see an upskirt on a guy for once.

Fun fact: At first I didn't even want to specify, what was under the kilt. I just didn't care... It was @David Gregg, who thought, I should better specify, as people would probably be really curious about it. And so his boxer shorts were born...
At first I didn't even want to use the Union Jack, because the head phones already had them...and I considered, changing the headphones...blablah and so forth...XD

Close enough but would love to see more! I know I think it was Sync who did the art for my submission with that tone.. then axeoul or however you spell it (sorry lol) did this submission for me

I originally intended the hair to be two tone, but everyone interprets it as solid/gradient blue instead lol. Still looks good!
