R1 Fight just got a lot better for Nyotengu. Faster characters now have no jab/throw mix up without a huge risk. Most characters are going to go for their fastest mids now, which means predicting what your opponent is going to do is going to be a lot easier.
Don't worry Synce, I love being player two on most stages too. Especially if I can't move to avoid all the bullshit P2 has to deal with on R1F. And as a character with i12 as the fastest options (not talking Nyotengu on that speed, I know she has an i11).
The change to Hiten K kinda makes more aesthetical sense. It looks like it hits high (and she is in the air while using it) so make it hit high.
Sorry I'm confused by that player 2 comment. I was talking about 2P as in low punch... But yeah, we can agree pre-fight movement is BS. Of all the fighters I play DOA is the only one that forces you into this immediate guessing game instead of allowing you to outspace the other guy
BTW I'm sure this is old news but I just realized Nyotengu can tech people with wind which is kind of cool. And it got me thinking has anyone seen any of her ground throws FTing? Specifically her face down/side and face up/leg grabs since they do 20 damage instead of 30. <edit: Watched some more matches, they don't FT>
Yeah, 4P+KP can FT, but I don't really see much use in that. It would seem that a divebomb would be a better option against a ranged opponent who's just sitting there on the ground.
But who knows? Maybe there will be something to it.
What's going on with that 2T after 8PPP wallsplat? Like opponent couldn't tech roll... damn, people catch in it every time. Maybe Nyo's ground throws works differently? Hopefully the ones after 1PPP are guaranteed, at least they look like they are... The waiting is killing me, I wanna test it all right now!
The setup at 29:08? It did look like it could be guaranteed since the lifebar didn't deplete until after the throw. Isn't that how guaranteed ground throws work in DOA, or do techable ones work the same way? I honestly forget
It would make sense if her side ground throw was guaranteed after a few setups though since it does less damage than most of her others
