I think you might be onto something, Raidou's son kind of makes sense, considering people were requesting Raidou, putting in the someone like that would fill the void.

I don't think it is Raidou, his requests didn't pick up till this last month or so and I don't think he was heavily requested back when they started work on this mystery male.

I believe when he says "DOA fans will like him" it's purely a hype phrase this I still have hope for someone interesting and new instead of a lame ass mimic rapist.

Sorry if I return on this matter but I was wrong: on the selection of Hitomi is clearly possible to see how her breasts are of the same size of DoA5U and din't get any change: actually it's just the effect of the gravity, mentioned in Hayashi's interview, that have effect on Hitomi in the lose pose and give the effect of an apparent inahncement.

Basically is the opposite of what I said, TN increased the realism (even if wasn't exactly a priority for this aspect of the game XD).

Actually I immediately thought to something similar, however I know to be biased because I like Irene so I don't give too much credit to my opinion on this matter (it's funny I know XD).

Knowing what are the tastes of the Japanese fans, and so if they really like Irene, then it could be possible to make some more assumptions... from what we know Hayashi could talk even of Eileen.

I doubt about it, the last revealed character of any DoA games is always been a female from what I know; the same fact that Hayashi given hints more clear for the male than for the female character is an hint how the hype is addressed toward the woman.

I notice those things to and just like the ground textures, they NEED to fix those things. The muscles are not too interesting either and the skinning on some characters NEEDs help. I really hope they fixed Bass.

The only male characters included in the series but not playable in DoA5U are Raidou, Bankotsubo, Genra and Shiden.

Considering that the last 2 are characters playable only in the recent Dimensions, and how I doubt that they created a replacement for Bankotsubo only for including him later, the only one remained is Raidou.

By the way there are effectively 2 characters half-scrapped:

1) Kelly: This was a character appeared only in a demo showing a prototype version of DoA for promotional purposes: this character used Muai Thai (and had a facial appearence pretty similar to Jann Lee even if the Kung Fu pratictioner was already planned like it's possible to see in this picture). It's useless to say that he ended to mutate in Zack for the final version of the game

2) Kamui: Well, this is neither a scrapped character, rather a scrapped concept: originally DoA had to include an original ninja guy with this name (not sure if his name was written with the Kanjii used for Naruto's manga ( 神威= ) in that case it would mean "Authority of the Gods"). However a member of TN suggested to Itagaki to not use a generic ninja but rather the same Ryu Hayabusa of the original NG series owned by Tecmo... and everyone know how the story ended.

I would not be surprised if it was Raidou since I imagine it would take minimal work for him to be put in considering he is the textbook mimic. Would vastly prefer Genra though.
