If they said that with any degree of seriousness it means they are basically admitting they got shafted on devtime.

But I also would've be surprised if this is the kind of answer where Tom would say one thing, and Shimbori would say another.

Guaranteed force techs are a problem in a game with no form of damage control like throw breaks. Too much vortex, especially in a system that lets you rush someone down before the round even starts, leads to overly stressful one-sided matches. Even Turbo at least made you work to close that distance.

Do certain other fighting games have far more lethal vortex situations? Yes.

Is it actually good game design? Not if you aren't working for it, no. And in DOA you don't work for it.
Thank you foe saying it in a much more technical manner than I was about to.

So any predictions on if anyone else will get a new alternate hair? Really hoping Eliot gets a new one. I know he already has 2 but TN plays favorites when it comes to those kinds of things (also TN owes it to Eliot players for putting him in shit tier). :p
Honestly. ..its easy to bet that there will be new hair...but virtually no way to guess what the new hair will be, judging by what's revealed so far.

I think that there just happened to be an Xbox One stall behind it. But maybe, yeah!
That might be it. Notice that the game is running on a Sony-brand TV, so either Microsoft didn't care (or didn't have any say) in the brand of TVs used, or it's not the Xbone version.

@Argentus Uh oh, you double-posted. Selena Gomez coming in 3... 2... 1...

Brad Wong's new costume problems:
If you can get it on X360/PS3, but you can't get the new hairstyles, will he have the costume and have the default braided one, instead of long flowing hair?

The struggle is real.
At this point, TN should make the new female character have looks based off of Selena Gomez. (Just kidding)

These days I feel a bit force-feed and like a spoiled fan with all these DLCs, I don't savour them like I used to do. Don't know why I am so blasé and jaded.
Even seeing stuff like Christie's trenchcoat or Lei Fang's DOA1 kung fu outfit wouldn't not give me a surge of joy, which is a paradox after all these months where I've been requesting legacy costumes. Am I becoming an emo ?

I still enjoy spending hours playing DOA5, but I need a break. The only things that can get me hype today are new characters or refreshed movesets or new popular stages...
I'm still curious to see DOA5LR's full new content, but DOA6 is the only thing that could get me go next gen.

By the way, when people think about Aerial Gardens, do they have in mind the DOA2U version or the DOA2's one ?

Yeah and Demon's Church. And Miyama's changing seasons.

DOA5 has some very good creations, but these retro stages had amazing "cinematic" moments.
The DOA5 stages are bit too dark and grungy from time to time. Sure, there are some "brighter" stages, but it's too much doom and gloom. Also, too many square and open stages.

Not sure about any of the other games in the series, but I really love scramble, depth, lorelei, and the show. I really like how scramble just starts breaking apart after the generators blow, depth is a cool falling stage that could use more effects to enhance the falling effect but I like it regardless, lorelei is fun to just kick someone of an edge 5 times in one round,

That pretty much sums up DOA5 stages, especially that last part.
Jeez, if I see another fucking circle or square stage with nothing going on.....

See, I like the top part of Scramble, but the bottom part I can't stand.
It's just ugly and the music sucks, and it's boring(minus the flying car)...

That's perfect. Now I need to know the prices.
2 characters (2x5€) + Helena's new bikini (1.99€) + her new contest costume (1.99€) = 14€

One day I'll quit my job and become billionnaire and buy Tecmo Koei. :(

Eh, I believe that it will cost more than it: the Last Round pack give you access to all the characters and the outfits unlockable in the game, so you are paying for outfits for all the roster (even so it should cost less than to buy the complete digital release of the game, or at least this is what I'm hoping). By the way I don't believe that her new bikini will be included in the game, as it's a pre-order outfit and not one of the 400+ unlockable ones of LR.

By the way, when people think about Aerial Gardens, do they have in mind the DOA2U version or the DOA2's one ?

I believe that the majority think to the DoA2U's one, being an updated version of Aerial Gardens (and this is easy to suppose seeing how many people are disappointed that the Crimson stage in LR doesn't include the room made available with 2U). However I saw that some people (as Brute) prefer anyway the DoA2 version of Aerial.

Me too, in DOA2 it was really big and I loved the fireflies.
DOA2U's version is great (there is a small temple where you begin), but overall the DOA2's version gets me more nostalgic. Maybe it's just the lighting..

About Helena's preorder bikini, I believe we'll be able to buy it sooner or later, as usual. ^^

It isn't fun at all, to speculate with you guys about new stages (or hairstyles in the other thread), knowing I ( and other Xbox360 and PS3 only owners) won't get that stuff anyway. :(

Both PS4 and Xbone are so ridiculously high priced too. In EU they cost both 399€, that's 508$(!!!) Why are we Europeans always so milked by everyone?! D:

The nostalgic effect is always present in what we love, don't understimate it! XD (I remember that you prefer the DoA2 version of the Opera stage too). Personally I played before to DoA2U and then to DoA2, so I'm more fond of the version of the stages in the last remake on Xbox.

And yes, be sure that all the pre-order outfit will be available and maybe even before of what we could think: for DoA5U TN balanced the absence of the CE in the West making on our markets already available with months in advancement the CE exclusive outfits in Japan. Now they have already talked of something similar, mentioning 8 pre-order outfits being already available for us (however we need of more infos about), and of course later all of them will be on the market (maybe even this time before on the West than on the East)

I'm speculating and I hope that more stages possible old or new will come to DoA5LR, even so I'm one of the people that definitely will not get them (a shame because from the videos I've already realized that I would be able to play for hours only on Danger Zone: I love everything of that stage).

EDIT: Being the"DoA5LR List Of Contents" thread currently locked, I post here a picture posted from TN on FB: there is a better view of the swimsuits for Nyotengu, Phase 4 and finally the revelation of Marie Rose's one:

I'm liking the Kasumi Bikini. The only bikini that I'd actually get in the pack, because its a "Legacy" bikini, from DOAX. My favorite pack so far, is the Ninja pack. It's sick.

If you are talking about the green mimetic one (that of course ended to be modified on the chest part as usually...) actually is the swimsuit for Phase 4: Kasumi got the "Hawaiian" one with the hat that you can see over.

Oh... Bummer. I still like the Phase 4 one then.
