Despite what we've been saying for years, Team Ninja still hasn't been convinced that these things are issues so the chances of them suddenly getting changed in a patch are slim.
I don't think its quite fair to say they haven't been convinced, as we've seen a lot of evidence of their willingness to make solid changes for the competitive betterment of the game. The fact is we don't really know what they've been convinced of or not.
We haven't had a clear discussion, statement, or interview on this aspect of DOA and of Shimbori's philosophy when it comes to every specific mechanical issue.
You would have to say that assuming a relatively cautious approach from TN to tread the line between the feel of the game before, and the requests we have made, they have come up with solutions such as the Critical Burst which is a unique new mechanic but it incorporates a lot of what we have been asking for.
It will definitely be interesting to see what they are saying about the final game when its in peoples hands and we can discuss it at a big tournament or something. It's results of data from the bigger, broader userbase that will provide them with the most information for a future balancing patch.
There's no reason to believe they wouldn't patch the game.
