Which sit-down stuns are you referring to? With Bayman, is that stun value for his CH 3K or NH P+K?
Wow, they could've kept that >_> Shoot, that caused a sit-down stun in DOA4 too. The only things I saw cause a sit-down stun for Kasumi in DOA5 were, her now high elbow at the end of her punch string, and the 66KK.
Nice find. I never noticed that. And doesnt the first hit of that attack always cause a critical stun anyways so unless they block the first hit, the second hit it will be a sitdown stun right?I was so certain that it didn't cause sit down stun in the E3 demo but at the German event, they had what looked like the same demo and she could do it.

She does it at 00:00:25 and at 00:58:26. The first time Ryu was in critical stun and the second time was a counter hit. So maybe it causes sit down again.

This is wrong. No, it's only made a critical stun if the opponent attacks, IIRC. Otherwise it lands as a normal hit with no stun to it.
The last punch (mid) stuns on NH. It causes a sit-down if you are already stunned before the last punch.Nice find. I never noticed that. And doesnt the first hit of that attack always cause a critical stun anyways so unless they block the first hit it will be a sitdown stun right?

I don't know why he would ask that, legitimately. Though, he did ask that, and you are right in your answer to that. My bad for saying you were wrong in regards to answering that question. I am confused as to why he even asked it.I thought he was talking about the first hit of the attack, which unless you're attacking or moving forward (or backwards, in some cases), lands as a normal hit.
I was under the impression Doug was confirming that P+K stuns on normal hit, so as long as it connects the following P would always hit during a stun and therefore be a sit-down.
He should word his post better. If that's what you deciphered from that, then ok. Even with what you got from his post, it would be the second punch in that string that causes the critical stun, which isn't P+K. She does have the same string that does start with P+K and ends with the punch.
Though he said the first hit in that string, P6PP.
The original post from Phoenix was referring to P+KP.
Here's a question for anyone that can answer.
In the DOA5 builds thus far, are trip stuns from low kicks/punches, considered sitdown stuns as well, thus having unholdable frames? Same thing with a kick like Kasumi's(Her knee kick that goes into a high kick after) I noticed in quite a few videos that it gives an extremely over exaggerated lift stun. I swear I can understand certain stuns and being able to counter out of them, but some stuns just LOOK like....seriously bitch? You're getting up from that? Hitomi's
and sidestep
do that stumbling away BACKWARDS stun, why can someone counter out of it? I'm fine with have them be SEable, but really?
Yes thats exactly what i meantI was under the impression Doug was confirming that P+K stuns on normal hit, so as long as it connects the following P would always hit during a stun and therefore be a sit-down.
The trip stuns are not sit-down stuns. You can counter out of those. Same with Kasumi's 6K, you can counter out of that.
You can't counter out of that stumble backward stun, but I think Rikuto mentioned there were two types of that stun and only one that you can actually counter out of.
I thought that unless you were face-up with your opponent (excluding Critical Burst stun), you couldn't counter out of anything. At least, that's what was being said at E3.
