I don't understand the issue.

Now its safe, instead of online-exploitable fake frame advantage -1 safe.

I guess there is some fringe application for it being -1, but...

Anyhow, I reserve judgment. Shimbori seems to be making a big deal out of crushes (low crushes and jumping attacks specifically) functioning better. That could greatly affect Busa.

Well depending on distance it could be 0 or +1, but yeah I'll reserve judgement till some hands on time is had.

Finally some real buffs. 1P was a much needed addition, 3P should have always been neutral and 6P refloat could do something for some of his BnBs which is a potential damage buff. PPP buffs a string or two and he didn't get worse in any way so we're good. He still doesn't have too much, but he's a lot better. Maybe not even bottom 5.

:hayate:
lol buffed. I wasn't expecting that. Most are negligible but he got a very sizable buff at the wall with 9P's splat property removed. Now he has a 2-in-1 guaranteed splatting tool at the wall which is going to make for very dumb, very juicy situations and setups. The 4P+K buff isn't half bad either. The 66P delay nerf will be felt by many online, but it's not something that was used a whole lot offline anyway so meh. All in all he's still great.

:akira:
Very displeased. Of all the strong characters to nerf you nerf one of the most honest and reasonable. And not even in the field that makes him unreasonable. 214P active frames reduced by 3 and recovery frames increased by 4 on whiff? Nerfing his best crush's stun? Nerfing his throws almost across the board and his sidestep damage? Why didn't you give these kinds of nerfs to Christie or Gen? Akira is still a beast but a spring has definitely been taken out of his step.

There were some great changes here (Like Momiji's 7K nerf, Gen's delay removal, P4 buffs, Eliot buffs) but some really questionable choices bordering on just play awful (Mila 1P nerf, Ryu Nerfs?!?! Christie BUFFS?!?!?) which ultimately leaves me mixed on this changelist. But at least we know for sure that LR will be a very different game than before.

...At least... unless you're fighting Christie. *Leaves to cry in a corner*

why do people keep acting like christie got buffed hard lol. her kick doesn't wall splat. yes she can continue the stun and all that fun shit but before her kicks got guaranteed wall damage.

and hopefully i can still delay my genfu strings....but obviously i wont be able too as much. im curious what they changed p+k into because the translation sucks lol

We need a proper translation or an official statement from TK Europe, (because TK America sucks balls)

Kokoro went from safe to safe, with the exception of P+K which had other changes applied to it as well.

Truly, my heart is breaking for her. Let us all lament the fake nerfs of the character nobody in America even uses.

But remember, she's very linear, so she also gets beaten by a feature nobody in America even uses.

Ryus 214p was probably an online exploitable move yeah, but 4 h+k was a great spacing tool. Having the frames on it nerfed really hurts the usage of what in my opinion was ryus best strike.

I imagine even at -5 it's still not punishable with a throw due to the space (pushback) on guard.

It's really shitty to see what happened to Ryu... he was insanely good in vanilla... Tina's "buff" don't seem very good either, she was also much better in vanilla. I'm happy for Rose though.

Ah, you mean like DOA3?

he lost his 214p (and handstand p) frame trap. it went from +2 to -5 lol. that wont make him better. i know master loved that move.

It was never a real frame trap. 214P raw had certain applications, but the handstand variant was 100% reactable and just online shenanigans. The kick variant came out much, much faster, and if you didn't see that there was only one other possibility.

How is it not a frame trap when its positive on block? I can understand the handstand punch since i could react to it but master got away with 214p on peoples block more often then you would think. So it kinda hinders him a tad.

Don't make me say something negative about the intellectual level of most players, please. I'm trying to improve my image.

Tina's buffs are legit. She's less about technique and more about the big numbers. And her numbers got bigger. Exactly what she needed.

I'm looking forward to a genuine translation. I want to see if Kokoro's P+K actually has a use still or not.

The risk reward on that move is really stupid, and that's coming from someone who uses it liberally.

I disagree, 7K was actually fine as is. It was a safe poke and keepout tool, much like Ayane's 3H+K (but Ayane's is much MUCH better all around). Characters do deserve at least one strike thats very safe for them to use, that was Momiji's.

Of course, characters will have varying safety, but there's usually at least one move that stands out as "that move".

Smh I don't understand..how are you going to releases a "NEW" game and each of the characters doesn't have at least 1-2 new moves. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Property changes are expected but should new moves!! Even if it's just adding a new variation to an already existing string.
I didn't go through the whole list yet, but there is at least one new move so far. Ein gets a new 1P attack (similar to Hitomi and Tina) that appears to track and high crush. I wonder if there are others!!

Probably because it isn't really a new game. It's a new version that happens to be packaged and sold for platforms that it hasn't been on before. And on the older platforms, its a free update that's missing some stuff.

But a new game? Nah. I wouldn't go that far. From a marketing standpoint, sure, they might call it that. But in reality? Nah.
