Tina's costume last year (hero) is the proof Halloween is about any fantasy.

Where I live there is a Carnival event + the day of Halloween: while the second event is not really felt but is more an excuse to wear not ordinary costumes according to a tradition from a foreign country, the first one is dedicated to any kind of outfits while the second to horrorific ones. So when I think to Halloween I think to outfits related directly or indirectly with horror or "darkness".

By the way it's clear that the definition used from Team NINJA is something related to any kind of fantasy just as Kwon said, so "strange" outfits and that the characters wouldn't wear in situations of ordinary life (from something worn at work, school, home, or special uniforms).

It's also true that to use outfits coming only from the classic Halloween it was pretty hard just after the first pack, where TN was able to use many categories from them. So the valid alternatives are:

• Continue to create different variations of witches, vampires, devils and so on
• To think to not classic alternatives but that are always related to the dark themese (for example getting inspiration from literature (fairy tales but not only), mythology, folklore, etc...
• To go with fantasy costumes not necessarily related to dark themes but that for example could have a correlation with the character (as a Sumo outfit for Bass, a comic superheroine for Tina, a traditional Japanese outfit for the heavy traditional style of Akira, and so on)

Honestly I don't think so: the Tanuki are tied to the Japanese folklore (so it should be an idea loved from TN) and Ayane is already related to that concept from DoAXBV, while Bat La Mariposa is a imo well done hallowenish version of a superheroine outfit (more I believe that everyone see it good associating it to the image of Halle Berry playing Catwoman). Devil and Werewolf costumes are effectively themes already used in the previous contests but your Rachel use the Devil Theme in a completely new way (and it's really smart the idea to replace her usual Axe with the Pitchfork). Maybe your Lisa, even if personally I love the outfit, is the more "weak" with Leon's werewolf outfit being very close to your one, but in the case of a woman it can easily benefit of the charm of the furry lovers xD

So in the end, if your purpose was the one to create outfits with a chance to become DLC, I believe that you played very wisely your cards =)

a large majority of it is either supernatural, spiders/pumpkins/etc.., or generic costumes would wear. with little deviation.

keep in mind i was not necessarily talking about the costumes posted in here(though a few are guilty) just in general. majority of alpha's for instance

Alpha got more submissions than ever before, I think she'll finally get something nice. And even if not, there's already some awesome mods in the works. By halloween who knows what will be possible with the PC version

That's always the danger with bikini style outfits and why I try to avoid them. But how many "casual" outfits were there reallly? I didn't are too much

@Candy Dragon I wish I could say I was a fan of this design but I can't really say so. Your heart is in the right place and the idea is actually pretty cool, it gives me a "Weapon X" feel. Sadly I feel like it would be TN's easy cop out way to create yet another outfit to sexualize our karate master.

The skin hugging black on the "pants", the wires coming out of a shirtless Ein and the potential for a crotch bulge (if TN decides to take the skin tight concept and run with it). I really just can't get with it. The design at it's core is too sexualizing, even if the idea itself is pure. I'd prefer if his next costume was actually fully dressed for a change. I apologize.

@Kronin gotta say modern knight Ein is also pretty sweet and similar in a way to Dragon Slayer Ein.

Seriously I hope TN consolidates all of these entries onto a single page in alphabetical order like they did last time because there are some seriously good designs this time around. For everyone even.

I could be wrong but so far I'm pretty sure that Alpha-152 this time will get an outfit chosen purposefully from her entries because:

• After the critiques of the first outcome, TN released one outfit from the fans for each character (anyway less Alpha, this is true) as new costumes of Last Round disc. Honestly I believe that one of the reasons for them to ask more than one entry is also for being able to do something similar with the pack of October, avoding that some characters couldn't get one or any entries at all. This contest demonstrated as there are fans for each character, however if you ask to the fans to release only one outfit very likely they will go only with their most favourite and in the end this leave easily out many charas in the roster;
• TN confirmed that Alpha-152 was part of the contest;
• The most important thing: she actually got many entries from the fans. The first two points are not worthy if a bunch of people decide to create a design for her. Even if the developers give their disposability, if the fans don't wish for it become useless. At this point I believe (and I hope too) that they can't avoid to take in consideration the care demonstrated for this character in this contest (incredible even for me).

So personally I don't have doubts on Alpha getting a personal entry, however I have doubts with her getting a proper outfit as actually worn from her transparent body. I puposefully asked to TN if was possible for them to do it, or at least to create an outfit as her Ninja Clans (so completely transparent), but again with different colors for various parts of it. Anyway they didn't answer to me about this matter, so I can just think that they can't do it or maybe they have still to decide on the basis of her actual entries sent to them (and so if there is interest for something similar).

However even in the worst case (so an original outfit but with a completely transparent body) I think that there is still room for a cool effect as give evidence this photoshopped entry for her =)

PS: Also we have to consider that there are many (imo good) entries for her that act only on the skin of her body without adding extrernal elements. It's never been a mistery that Alpha potential DLC could get easily cool outcomes with a minimal effort just going to act on her textures and adding some special effects, so I believe that TN could even decide to take in consideration these ideas again remaining faithful to the entry of the fan and giving an unique outfit (not copy/paste) to the character.

That third Ryu one better win. It looks godlike.

Could appear more different from the ordinary if on the chest there was an armor plaque, but actually I suppose that it's simple bare skin considering how even the face of Ryu is colored grey.

In the end this is again one of these entries that can work in a "free for all" contest but has nothing of Halloween: more I believe that the final outcome would end to be something not too much different from his "Spirit of the warrior" outfit from NG3:RE or from a classic "only pants" outfit worn from Jann Lee.

I added it because seemed to me a nice idea if making use of metal parts, but actually now I'm pretty sure that it's not so.

I hope some of these get into NG4 where they belong. the problem about Ryu's costumes is people seem to forget how goofy his fighting style is in DOA.

To be fair that's not a problem exclusive to ryu. Nobody considers how their designs would look in gameplay. Most Helena and Christie designs would be a clipping nightmare with how much the crouch down and the way they move.

That's the reason why Helena will probably get another boring split dress.

I don't mind Nyotengu's wings running throught the floor all the time for instance.
So please give Helena something original this year. And all the characters!
Halloween is the perfect opportunity to come with extravagant concepts.
