so apparently there have been some other much clearer videos being made that detail their whole moveset. ill post those instead if anymore are shown

i love watching these projects and seeing TNs influences. like the three kunai on sheik's legs or how the charge animation is basically an essence charge.

Edit: Never got a notification.

Looks like Cloud is a charge character now and has an air Cross Slash. Will comment more after work.

Where's the FFVII PS4 port? I imagine they might do a "you can download it NOW!" thing at PSX in december

That or delay the port to spring 2016

I really hate the way Square Enix announces games, when all they have is just a fancy CG trailer... That's how it was with FFXIII Versus/FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 too. :/

thats how pretty much everyone does it.

Personaly I love the hype, it's my favorite thing about gaming. waking up with everyone tagging me about the Christie vs Bayman trailer remains my favorite DOA moment.

Of course I love playing the games but hype is peak of excitement while the game is a steady level of fun that usually never peaks that high.

Yesterday's Squall trailer and Japanese video description of beginning movesets in Dissidia Arcade:

And today's Zidane trailer and Japanese video description of beginning movesets:

Also, I have more good news. For those feeling disappointed about the lacking movesets or feeling misled that the movesets listed for the characters are the complete set, rest assured it's not. If the massive update on the official site is any indication, more skills can be unlocked as you level up just like in the previous Dissidia games. Check the newly updated System section translated for more details!

Lastly, here are some match videos. It should be noted that blocking is very different now, and takes a cue from Super Smash Bros's bubble shield as opposed to parrying:

No you're right. usually it's just a picture with a single kind of recognizable symbol with the words "coming soon"

That other developers sometimes don't show much else than a picture does not mean they don't have anything else. It is just all they want to show to the public for now for multiple reasons. Square Enix's Nomura (Kingdom Hearts 3/Final Fantasy XIII Versus) however admitted, that they just had a trailer and nothing else, when they announced the games. The CG trailers weren't even done by Square Enix themselves but from an extern 3d animation studio. An announcement practice like this is risky, contra productive and very unusual. Stop spreading such nonsense.

Counter productive? the idea was to hype people up so they would buy their other products and its working. Had they not announced KH3 you'd probably hear more complaints than praise when 2.8 and that other one was announced . Because they know KH3 is coming they're much more receptive

That Cecil Dark Cannon I was talking about is the equivalent of the Emperor's Flares. Oh my God. That is so fucking awesome, you actually have to respect Cecil now.

Anyway, like I said before it seems Squall is more about slashes than using shots while using his Gunblade outside of EX Mode. I really like that Beat Fang has more hits to it but at the same time that is kind of terrifying, that shit hurts if you get a Critical Hit. Beat Fang also seems to have a directional control to where you want to send opponents when the attack finishes, a nice addition.

Zidane lost his box of pain? Thanks God because that was probably his most annoying HP attack (it's probably still in). Nice to see he uses his blades as throw weapons during his combos too.

It looks like Brave - HP attacks were removed just because the #1 way to get HP damage may be off wall hits. Being able to knock someone into a wall then go Brave to HP afterwards would be too strong with this system. It's just odd that there is so much wall stun this time around.
As for the shield, I don't know what to think about it. While I like that this is a unique change I'm confused about combat use. Is TN going their DOA route where only blocking specific attacks will get you a guaranteed strike or is there something that has yet to be seen about it? While I like the idea and can see how it will work in 3 on 1 situation I much prefer the old guarding method.

3v3 is going to be a clusterfuck on small stages. Whit bar o opponent's HP bar is how much damage you will inflict if you land an HP attack. Minimap, team stats. This game is a huge step up just in HUD. Music is another step up too.

i think the shield was implemented as a way to possibly encourage team play. no longer does blocking instantly stop your opponents attack so when you're pinned down and your shield is about to break from the constant attacks i think you'll need an ally to help you out. that's my theory on it at least

Two more weeks until possible remake news and a possible surprise ps4 ffvii port release. Curious what the remake news could be, some kind of ambiguous trailer? They apparently started working on it before they announced the port last year so they might actually have something to show.
