RISE UP! Street Fighter V on PS4 and PC

It will if they ever re-release SFV...which we only have Capcom's "word" that there will not be a re-release.
Except a re-release doesn't make sense with their current business model.

At most, we'll probably see a GOTY edition with a download code for the season 1 pass, but that's it.

Again, this is pretty much wait and see. And their business model can easily mean nothing in the long term scenario as just because they have another character pack in the future does not stop them from making a re-release, you know that from Dead or Alive and their Season Passes.

Yeah no, if they are going to make a GOTY edition, it's gonna be for all the marbles like it is for Mortal Kombat 9 and soon to be MKX.

Except the business model here is different. SFV is going for a more MOBA like service model where Capcom intends to make money more from the post launch content.

This is different from how say, NRS handles its games where there's set end to the post launch content (hence the "complete editions"). SFV can run up until Season 7 in 2022 or more, depending on how it grows. Having to recompile new editions for each season doesn't make much sense, not when digital distribuion means that you can simply reissue old discs with DLC codes, or better yet, sell digital "bundles" with the season passes (which is what alot of other games do already).

Okay let's reel it back, they say that they removed R.Mika's closeup asslap because it would make people "uncomfortable", how would this outfit honestly wouldn't do the same considering again it's pretty much right up Poison's alley and Laura is just as gratuitous as both her and R.Mika? And again if your point is also the case, wouldn't putting in a patch simply solve everything rather than this stupid approach?

Either way even you should know an ass-slap won't turn a game from T to M by itself.

Except we've gotten multiple indications that the camera angle changes (to not just the butt slap, but some other things, such as Cammy's pre-fight intro) were done with the ESRB rating in mind. Even Capcom's Matt Dahlgren has admitted as much.

http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2016/...-process-giving-street-fighter-5-teen-rating/

The ESRB rating was given back in November, around the same time the changes were made public. Now, ratings are based on a video submitted by the company. It's easy to conjecture that the change to the camera angles was done because the trailer itself already featured it and not including it in the video submitted would be seen as cheating the system.

As for the costume, aside from the fact that it's just a costume, not a cinematic that brings attention to it, again it can simply be passed off by Capcom as "post launch content".

Except you didn't really answer my question...

What's stopping them from adding it back in as "post launch content" from inside another patch? It would still fall under the same thing as DLC. I know the Cammy entrance had to be toned down but even with that and the Buttslap, what's with R.Mika's Muscle Buster being neutered as well? Having Spread Eagle Leg shots is suddenly too much all of a sudden as well?

The spread eagle is honestly worse than the butt slap so yes. done on someone like Karin you're now forcefully spreading their legs and showing everyone her panties. I can easily see why they would remove that aspect in all honesty.

But don't they have a move like that for King in Tekken and SFXT? And Karin at least wears stockings while females like Lili are completely exposed in that regard.

yeah and I'm guess they don't want that again or else they wouldn't have changed it.

They changed these thing of their own accord. the more you people complain, whine, cancel pre-orders, and demand that it be changed the more you act like the SJWs that you claim to hate. It's the same annoying behaviors just different causes.

The answer is "they wanted to play it safe" that'll be answer today and it will be the answer 2 fucking years from now STOP ASKING.

D3v, you're being naive. If SFV is a service then why are they selling it as a packaged product? SFV will be repackaged or made F2P if they intend on making money exclusively selling "post launch content." Consider how easy it is to print a new cover and use the same disc with this model. Woah, I'm not part of this, I'm just stating an honest fact. The camera angles and censorship doesn't really bother me, but I just think it's silly to cover something that was seen in the past and no one said anything about it, honestly.

no you're just stating the same things that have been said over and over and over and over and over. like you're suddenly about to break the code that nobody else has figured out. yes we know its been done before, but we know its not being done now. how the hell is this so difficult to grasp.

this character is forever ruined in my eyes because of all this crap. because now whenever i see her i can just hear the whining and bitching being done on the other side of that screen by a community that for so long pretend like they were above this type of shit. i USED to be neutral hell i even disagreed with the butt slap camera change, but now im at the point where i hate her fans so much im happy they're getting screwed over.

im sorry you arent the one who did this to me, you're just the hundredth caller and your reward is all my angst.

In other words, it would be realistic to expect to see a repacked "GOTY" or "starter" edition next year that's just same game bundles with the Season 1 pass at a slightly lower price.

At the same time however, don't expect this package to be treated the same was as Super, AE or Ultra SFIV were. For one, there's going to be less marketing and advertisement behind it. That's because by this time next year, they'll be more focused on promoting Season 2. More importantly, there's no need to upgrade if you've already purchased Street Fighter V, all gameplay related changes are coming for free.

I really do like Chun's (both), M. Bison's (both), Ryu's and Rashid's new costumes.

Now, the question is: Will all these costumes be unlockable or sold as DLC (or both) or won't they be unlockable at all? Heard that was the case with some story mode costumes in Street Fighter IV.
