Honestly, I don't really have an issue at all with reluctant warriors nor moe characters(and honestly, I SERIOUSLY hate it when people be all like "I love how she got shot in the face" or hoping those types of characters die because they aren't "badass" enough or won't stop being reluctant) despite knowing how...divided it makes people(despite in general as the overall archetype we already have Kasumi, Momiji, Honoka, Ayane in certain situations, Hitomi, Marie Rose...).
If anything though I do agree that we should have atleast gained either one male character other than just Raidou...but I think the male would be just as bland...see Rig(and even Raidou is literally just an engine of destruction with no memories of what happened to him...). Maybe even Bankotsubo with a revamped moveset.
But anyway, I really do like her overall moveset and have no issue with the character herself and as I said before and again, no one else would have really fit it mainly because:
A) Since they use weapons, they would need a style all their own which would take way more work.
B) Marketing purposes to help one of their games sell more.
Honestly, we can't complain about big, bad Koei Tecmo doing this when this exactly happened with the Virtua Fighter cast and SEGA AM2
If you have your problems with the overall character, say it and just let it die(or lie) and don't make it an enormous circlejerk that makes Brute take the topic down or let it spill into the general section.
