Meh. When someone RQs I just laugh, I'm not about to start gathering evidence and shit. The people who go crazy over RQers confuse me as much as the RQers themselves

Unrelated video (based on a true story):

I remember in mk everyone would quit right as they lost.

But I can see a lot of false reports happening here as people try to get others banned that they don't like.

I remember in mk9 id get a win so they'd get all their friends to down vote me XD my Xbox rating dropped to like two stars because of haters in that game

I'm just laughing at this insanity.

Seriously, didn't we just have the opposite talk about DOA5LR's ridiculous amounts of Costume DLC, while a pain, is ultimately a boon for the tourney goers since that's the money being used for prizes and funding for all the future events?
Casuals are the main ones buying all these DLC(as we have seen here in FSD, plenty of pros really don't buy all of them, just the ones that interest them.) and the biggest number in terms of sales and that's not including those who DL'ed Core Fighters and bought some fighters and decided to buy costumes for them.

How is Street Fighter seriously that much different that it can only be sustained by the pro players? I can't even throw you a bone because UMvC3 is literally still only alive because of it's ties to the "hype", nothing else as many find the game stale as hell and just want it gone. You can't be just demeaning casuals when they help keep the product alive to begin with.
Because the report stated that the post release sales came from the "core" community, not just the competitive side. This actually says more about Dead Or Alive and the game's core community than anything about Street Fighter - that DOA's "core" community is much more interested in costumes and similar fluff than being competitive.

I mean, just compare the SFV thread here with that from another, non-SF forum (e.g. Test Your Might), and you'll actually see less complaints about "ignoring casuals" and more actual talk about playing the game and getting better at it.

Going back to Street Fighter, what was it that help support the game competitively, what was the main form of post launch content for it? The expansion packs such as Super, Arcade Edition and Ultra. So it's stands to reason that Street Fighter's core audience has a larger pool of players who are interested in actually playing the game competitively either online or in tournaments, compared to DOA.

It's just like games like CoD or Battlefield who make much more from focusing on multiplayer and offering multiplayer content such as maps, etc.

Posted those and a few others earlier in the sexualization thread because I thought: Nuh, better don't post them in here. I don't want to upset uptight pros with such frivolities. ;)

"Hot Ryu" might be the best thing that happened to Street Fighter 5 so far. Other than that bit of fun and fan service it's so serious, austere and bare bones and with lots of negative publicity. Many seem to feel similarly.
When "Hot Ryu" was announced first the internet went crazy. He even got his own Hot Package game edition after Capcom noticed the hype and some shops sold posters of him:

Now after someone just modded him the internet is going crazy again. XD

Cod and battlefield are odd examples.

The meat of Cod has and always will be the campaigns.

Whereas battlefield was always about multiplayer, to the point of not even having a campaign until bad company.

And it shows. Cods multiplayer, aside from maybe zombies, is simply run and gun tacked on crap. People eat it up anyway just because fanboy hype. Whereas battlefields multiplayer is always expansive and elaborate.

Up until CoD 3 yeah. After 3 the main focus has been on multiplayer. The campaigns may be awesome and flashy but multiplayer is what keeps the series alive.

But like I said the main meat if the game is still the campaign, which is always fleshed out The multiplayer is still just token run and gun death match style tacked on crap. Reminds me of BioShock and Republic Commandos multiplayer

Cod is the game for kids who aren't aware of other games.

no Cod exists so the people who bitch about others having fun can having something to do.

As much as you complained about SFV @Tyaren it could have been much much worse.

apparently they were originally going to go with a more realistic style.

I have nothing against the current art style. I looks gorgeous...on PC.

It's just the PS4 version that's not optimized very well und looks in certain aspects very rough.

And what is wrong with your example? It looks good, just a litte sterile yet but that was in very early development. (Also interesting looks for Ryu and Bison!) I hope the upcoming Tekken x Street Fighter gives us a nice glimpse of how the SF characters will look in a more realistic and detailed art style. :)

Then you should look again. ;)
